Mabel was hired when the Control Team started activity, starting her work as one of the team's clerks, backend workers who help to keep the department's core mechanics functioning while the higher-level agents do the dirty work with abnormalities. Mabel, however, struck the Alexandrite branch's manager as something special among the clerk team. She had an unusually strong will for her job, considering the lower-level training clerks get in terms of abnormality suppression and handling, and did her work with a consistent determination and refusal to give up. Working closely with her sister Bijou, the pair alone did a very good job of keeping the Control team running. As well, though Bijou was weaker in this respect, Mabel was always strong in the face of an ordeal or an abnormality's breach, managing to keep a straight face and calm her racing heart so she may help the agents however possible. For this reason, for her determination, strong will and bravery, Mabel became one of the very first clerks in the Alexandrite branch to gain a rare promotion- to work in the Information team's agent lineup!

Though Mabel is frequently assigned all over the facility for her good balance of strength, intelligence, temperance and speed, she oversees the work with the Grave of Cherry Blossoms, and wears a vividly pink-and-red suit woven from energy gained from the abnormality. The fan she carries with her was also made from the abnormality's energy, and has a markedly sharp edge on its segments, allowing her to use it as a weapon. It creates a whirl of cherry petals when swung. With her frequent work on the abnormality, she's come to recognize the symptoms of employees captivated by it when it desires a sacrifice, and will try to help the manager snap them out of it. She's very close with Bijou (of course, they're sisters), and loves chatting with Xavier.
