Hollowmoon is a reserved cat, a bit cool but not cold. He is distant and extremely private, hardly prone to sharing anything about his personal life or thoughts. In fact he seems to dislike speaking at all, when he does his sentences are short and straight to the point and his tone of voice is flat and clipped.
Even though he for all appearances that he dislikes company he never complains about unexpected visitors who come seeking his medical knowledge, never expresses dislike for a particular cat or instructs anyone not to bother him. Though he has an aura of mystery about him, most cats trust him without thinking too hard about it, maybe it is folly or gut instinct, perhaps it is because he is strictly unaligned with any of the groups within the forest and therefore has basically no agenda that would cause him to betray the trust of any of the cats who need to trust him.
Hollowmoon tries desperately not to get attached to anyone who might compromise his neutrality, but he does care about others, he feels obligated in fact to help and care for whoever he possibly can. His guilt over accidentally killing a cat has never left him and now he feels duty bound to serve the rest of his species and atone for his past mistakes.
