Curious Selkie

Bianca was born and raised in a selkie community hidden from the outside world. Most children learned early on to avoid the land and people living on it, but Bianca was a rebellious child from birth. She often escaped to the land and people-watched, until one day when someone caught sight of her and her lovely seal coat. She was an older kid, but not old enough to know right from wrong - immediately she wanted to try Bianca's coat for herself, and liked it enough that she decided it was hers. Bianca, still too little to do anything more than watch the landwalkers, could only try to chase after her crying, but the little thief quickly escaped. Bianca had lost her coat -- as well as her ability to get back to her family.

More Human than Seal

Wandering around the land with nothing to her name, Bianca was found and taken in by a kind adult and her family. They raised her the best they could, but she never felt truly a part of their family. Soon as she was old enough and completed her primary education, she left home, determined to find her coat again.

She didn't find it.

Again with not much to her name (though her adoptive mother was kind enough to send some money with her), Bianca went out into the world, ready to survive on her own. Her world was harsh, and she quickly learned to fight and look intimidating. Still, no matter how far she traveled, she couldn't find anyone who resembled the small thief or her stolen coat. Over time, Biana reluctantly accepted her lot in life. She spiraled for a couple years as she grew into adulthood, unsure of her identity or purpose in life. It was at this point that she found a Mahou key, stumbled upon it, really. She used the key and entered the brand new realm, so much more colorful and peaceful. Bianca wandered the area, not realizing this meant her magic was retained, and decided it was a good place to start over, start new.

Settling into Mahou Life

After growing accustomed to the realm (and dropping her original surname and taking on her adoptive family's), Bianca searched for something to do. She did her best to drop her old destructive habits, buying a fake smoking pipe instead and drinking LOTS of juice, even joining various martial arts classes for somewhere to focus her fighting, and eventually joining the patrollers. Seeing all the kids who came into the realm, some in just as much distress as she was, Bianca finally found a true calling: helping the kids.

Bianca returned to school, getting a college degree in Mahou, where she realized she was still capable of magic, albeit more restrictive than before. She then applied to become a professor at Agatha's immediately after she graduated. She wasn't about to leave a kid hanging, not like her biological family did for her. No, she would do better, be more like her adoptive family. Sure, maybe she wouldn't ever find her coat. That thought would continue to tickle at the back of her mind. But in the meantime, she was going to do good.
