Russet is a gentle soul, who believes life is best lived in the moment ever so quietly. He is a traveller by heart, loving to explore new scenic places in order to hone his skills and gain new life experiences. He doesn't consider himself to have a home in terms of a building but rather within the friends he makes. Russet is hard working and determinded, but finds he needs a little boost from those around him as he can get flustered and frustrated by failure or mistakes. Despite not having a mouth or thumbs, Russet is able to communicate very effectively via a whiteboard and marker he keeps on him at all times. Due to not having a mouth, he has never tasted food, which he hopes someday can change if he finds the right magic. His goal is to become such a skilled artist that he can make portraits for his friends.

When Russet was a kittle he grew up in a crowded apartment, where he got very little attention. Running off very little magic scattered around the apartment, he was small and often ill. Around 9 months of living in that environment he was taken from it to an adoption centre and was taken care of by the workers. Eventually he was put up for adoption after being recovered from his ill state, which led to him being adopted by Camellia. Russet was taken on various trips as he was growing meaning he was exposed to various magics and various sights, however the magic Camellia's books and kitchen tools supplied led to his growth into a kitbull. The sights and sounds of Camellia cooking ultimately influenced his appearance with how they were tied into the magic around him, making him very soft and food themed.
