About
Akachi is the ruler of the gods in Demihumans, alongside Kamadía, god of night. He is the father of Chikelu Balewa. He is also one of the Big 4.
Backstory
Akachi was created around a million years ago by the original gods. He was prince for a while, next in line for the throne. He and the Monster Queen Eris dated for a brief period, before breaking up due to her mind games. He fought against the Netherworlders in the Great War. After the world was split apart, he became king and ruled over the gods. However, he had trouble doing so, so the god of night Kamadía was brought onto help him. His personality became more serious. He had demihuman children more often than the rest of the Big 4. Many years later, he had a relationship in South Africa with a woman named Stacy Grant. However, their relationship ended on bad terms, causing Stacy to hate the son they had together.
Personality
Akachi is a leader that is seemingly good at commanding forces. He is stern with almost everyone he speaks to, even his co-leader Kamadía. He kepts on a cold facade, as he does not want to expose any sign of weakness. It is very rare to see him smile or laugh. However, in reality, he is not very good at making decisions, so leaves them up to his co-leader. He is too busy obsessing with his own image to care about his children, something that both his ex Eris and Lief taunt him about. He also has a tendency to suddenly disappear without warning from his relationships with humans. When he was a prince, Akachi was a well-known troublemaker, and a horrid flirt. He was also very mischevious; the opposite of how he behaves currently. He is embarassed about the way he used to act as a prince.
Fun facts
- Despite being (argurably) the most mature, Akachi is the youngest of the Big 4.
- Chikelu's cape and crown are gifts from Akachi... which he gives to all his kids.
- Akachi is the only member of the Big 4 who has a co-ruler to share his reigion.
- Akachi looks more human than other gods, despite being the king. This is due to his past fascination with them.
Relationships
Chikelu BalewaChikelu deeply respects and admires his father. As his father is King of the Gods, Chikelu wants to live up to his image. His father, in return, has had so many children that he hardly remembers his own son. After Chikelu learns that his father doesn't care about him, he grows to resent him.
KamadíaKamadía and Akachi are co-rulers. Although Akachi is much stronger, Kamadía is much better at ruling and commanding. They resent Akachi to a degree but mainly stay formal around him and do their work.
ErebosAkachi is Erebos' co-worker, and fellow member of the Big 4. Their relationship is quite formal, and they do not interact much. They are prone to fighting over humanity and the war, however.
BlancAkachi is Blanc's co-worker, and fellow member of the Big 4. They have a mostly formal relationship, although Blanc enjoys messing with Akachi every now and again. He tries to ignore her when she is being silly.
ErisEris and Akachi do not have a good relationship whatsoever. They used to date, however, Eris kept playing mind games with Akachi, causing him to resent her. He mainly tries to avoid her these days.
Stacy GrantStacy despises Akachi due to their relationship ending on bad terms. She refuses to speak of him, and hates him so much she also hates the son they had together.
RealeAkachi is Reale's superior. She respects him greatly, and he has similar respect for her. However, she secretly doubts him at times.
LiefLief despises Akachi as he believes he is unfit to be king of the gods. He also hates all of his children, especially Chikelu as his daughter is jealous of the female attention he gets.
