He.. can't understand. He can't understand why it's so important for Drastic to keep her safe when she so clearly wants to take care of herself - he could take care of himself just fine and people were okay with it? But he also can't understand WHY she wants to be alone when she also very clearly CAN'T do it alone. Each time he sees her she seems to be even more poor than before, with new scars and such, and as much as he finds her knife wielding skills to be kinda cool and tbh he's kinda jealous of her weapon, he's also starting to think that she kinda maybe very much needs HELP. ..But if she's gonna be stupid and try to cut him up just like she did before when he offered her that, he won't hesitate to beat her up again. She's older than him, it's her choice!!
She can't trust anyone. Not even a child like her. This damned kid doesn't understand her struggle, or what she's been through. Kid probably has a pampered lifestyle with a home and friends, eating food and shitting gold. Well, Angelica doesn't need help from someone like that, someone who talks shit and'll get hit if they eve try to attack her again. Having the balls to preach to her, thinking they know what's best? Saying to take 'help'? Disgusting. Nothing but lies. Kid can take a hike.
He's met her a few times and like, almost everytime it was her saving him from some dangerous situation - e-eVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T NEED HELP. But he appreciated it for sure! He realises that he knows very little about her - not even her name. I mean she told him to call her Lady but is that even a name??? And outside of that, what else does he know??? He hasn't even seen them in a long while and is hoping she's alright. It almost makes him want to get into danger, because that's when she'd probably come. Also she'd probably do great in the FIGHTING EVIL TEAM
Oh dear oh dear, where to START! This child is absolutely adorable! Having a sort of 'hero' drive to them, this cutie just wants to beat up evil and help people! They're still young! They don't have to be corrupted by the filth that is society! They're not horrible and they LIKE her! And they like stories with knights and treasure and she'll treasure HIM and make sure nothing bad ever happens to him. Having a gigantic soft spot for children, Lady will do her very darndest best to make sure Alpha is safe and innocent and doesn't become a horrible monster like the rest of the world. Protect this sweet baby.
He doesn't like the guy, clearly! Even if he has no proof that he murdered his friend, the description fits perfectly, plus he was a dick, what with just shoving Alpha's face into a pizza. ..I mean, he knows he pointed a fork at them first, but, look, it was a potential child killer, and Alpha IS a child. ...So, yeah, while Alpha does feel regret for that possibly unnecessary scene he made at the fight place, he's still determined to beat the guy up, when he finds out for sure that he did the thing.
Okay, so Kal regrets slamming this child's face against the table. That wasn't one of his smarter moves, and it was, in most degrees, a bad idea and made things worse for him. But although he regrets it, he still absolutely hates this shit kid and the balls they have. To ruin his day and declare him a child killer? In public? He just came out to have a good time and felt so attacked right then. And he'd just love to tear this kid's tongue out to keep them silent, if all they're gonna do is ruin what little reputation he has left because they made buddy-buddy with his dead son. Alpha's certainly one to watch out for. And Kal's one to watch out for for Alpha. Cause he HATES him.
Oh, man, it's his not-dad. The story is very complicated, yet there isn't that much to say on the matter. He hates them, for leaving him alone for so long, and then returning and doing all those horrible things, but blaming Alpha for them, and to top it off, they led uncle Axel to even worse of a state than they were before, and now, they're... they're dead. They're dead, and Alpha will never find out what happened, why they were like this, if they really loved him, and if there was ever a way to.. snap.. them out of it... And he left them, and.. was it a bad thing to do? They were scary. They were horrible. But they used not to be. Should he have stayed..? Would things.. be different if he stayed? Why does it hurt so much, anyway? He wanted them gone, yet it still hurts now that they are. Why? Is it guilt? Is it because it's his fault? Was it.. was it his fault?
Jescoe loves his adopted son. He had to vanish for a while, to tend to the rebirth of Mafrit and become the one who will take her form, but he's back now. And he loves his son very much. So when his child refused to be around him, when they looked visibly disgusted and horrified, he just didn't understand. He had more power. He was becoming her, Mafrit, and that was wonderful, and he could do anything, but Alpha hated it. He just wanted his 'old dad' back, but wasn't this better? New? The old one was awful, but the new one can do anything.
But when he becomes her, he won't exist. And he's trying to do the best for his son before he gives himself away as a vessel. He's upset, because he just wants conclusion before he becomes wonderful. He wants to see Alpha be happy, stable, and things are getting in the way, and he doesn't understand, and it confuses him. Has Alpha found someone else? Has someone been telling lies? Jescoe will stop at nothing until he finds the cause for his misery. Because he does, dearly, love his son.
One of his two sorta-adult-but-really-fun friends, he's a hero, he's got cool powers, he's got a tragic backstory. He's really like one of those book heroes Alpha read about, and Alpha is.. Like.. Like his sidekick! Or... they were, at least. Drastic... scared Alpha a little, back then. That change was very sudden, and the images of the fire unpleasant and just... shameful. But he knows his friend - he knows that, despite everything that might've happened, Drastic isn't a BAD person. They still want to be heroes! Drastic just... made the same mistake Alpha did, but more... fiery. And he doesn't understand why he hates demons so much, Milo's never hurt them! But if Drastic says that Milo's mom hurt him, Alpha believes him. They can get better. They'll find themself a new home, and try again! Alpha's sure they can succeed!
ALPHA'S SUPER COOL AND READY TO FIGHT LET'S GO LET'S GO BEAT UP EVIL. No but seriously Alpha's incredible and totally his best friend! He's like, his sidekick, and is super hyped and wants to help spread good, which is awesome! And best part is, he's a kid! With his heart in the right place and is super smart! So Drastic can relate to him! Honestly he thinks they make a great team, and Drastic is ready and willing to burn Alpha's Evil Monster Demon Dad to a crisp with his White Fire Overdrive attack. Get rekt.
He promised her he'll help her beat up whoever hurt her so much, and he still wants to keep his promise! Even though he hasn't seen Snowflake in quite a while, he remembers she's been good to him, and she seemed to be really nice, but kinda sad. He doesn't like seeing good people hurt, and he really wants to help her just like she helped him!
A very nice knight she met. Almost adorable how he saw himself as that. But honestly she also worries a lot about him, a child alone in the forest? That is asking for trouble. Even though his current state of being safe in a place to sleep is unknown to her.
One of Alpha's two adult friends who despite being adults act like mature children and are really fun! To some extent, Star reminds him of his not-dad, with the herbs and magic, and he's hoping he'll have the chance to learn some useful herb stuff from her as he once was learning from Jescoe. He's also curious about the conflict she had with her dad - he doesn't quite get the whole church stuff yet. Still, he finds Star to be super cool and she also teaches him a lot about how city and technology works, it's great! She also seems to be the more mature one out of her and Drastic.
Alpha is one of her best friends. Or well, the one she has opened up to the most and feels a bond with the young teen due to the similar nature of terrible dads. What tends to put her off though is that he is involved with the church and that just puts Star on a light edge. But Alpha seems to be so different, so happy and cheerful and positive! Plus so darn eager to learn and with interest in herbs! It is why she really enjoys his company and hopes to subtly get him out of the church little by little.
At least she can make him her apprentice in time!
Someone he's met a looong time ago back when he was a boy who could barely say a full sentence. He remembers that despite not spending much time with them, they were the first person who treated them.. sorta like a parent would treat their child, together with some other person whose name he can not remember. He remembers these two from time to time and wonders how they're doing now.
A lost boy, stuck far and deep into Mel's memory. A child that really was worse for wear and felt almost painfully like a reminder of her self when she was younger. Honest to the gods has no idea if this child even made it to the end of that year.
Alpha misses Milo and really hopes they're doing alright. He's nice and reading stories with them was fun. A bit shy and scared of the world, but like... still cool! And Alpha just sort of... ruined his life. He didn't WANT to. But he realises it's kind of his fault, and he hopes uh... he hopes he can apologise one day and that... hopefully Milo doesn't think... he's a bad person. And Drastic isn't, either! Really! But... no matter what, they've hurt Milo a lot, and Alpha feels horrible with it. He'll try to think of ways to make it up for Milo...
If there is one thing Milo has in mind regarding Alpha, is the hope that he is safe and well, alive. That last time they saw eachother was so sudden and dire that he is unsure of what became of him. Milo very much wants to meet Alpha again, even if it's to put his own mind at ease and to know that he is safe and unharmed.
HIS SORTA-UNCLE, YEAH. A really nice person! ..Even if sick, both outside and inside. More and more each day. To the point where calling him a "really nice person" is way too much, considering what.. considering what Axel wants to do. It worries Alpha a lot, the state they are in, and they wish they could do something about it. His not-dad certainly could've with all that herb stuff, but he didn't! Not only did he.. die but also he could possibly be making Axel worse! What if it's that thing that Jescoe gave him that makes Axel think the way he does? He's.. he's gonna find out, and if it's not that, then.. then..
...Then he'll help Axel, because he promised. Axel knows his parents. If he says that they deserve death, then he.. must be right. He's an adult, he knows more about this, and Alpha is still his family, and if what he's done was wrong, then he'd want to make up for it by helping him get revenge. It's a good thing to do, being loyal to your family, right..?
Alpha is a growing boy that seems to have well found his place in this dark, dark world. That doesn't even that he doesn't still have a LOT to learn. Because those child fantasies of storybooks and knights is clearly twisting now that Alpha has been growing. Child logic turning to delusional and wrong ideas. Yes Axel cares about Alpha and he knows that the boy cares back. But after his last stunt, Axel is more than a /little/ hurt that the catmadillo took something so dear to him in a time of pain and grief.
You know, despite how rude that person was to Alpha, he was cool with them, as long as they were helping uncle Axel feel better and kept him company. Axel seemed... well... OKAY with them around, plus Dick was an adult who knew how to tend to a sick person like him, while Alpha, well, he has to admit he has no idea how to go about that, so Dick was an acceptable person.
...But then he just disappeared. Alpha doesn't quite know why, but he knows that he left Axel alone, and that's quite enough to label Dick as an awful person. But if he wants to just up and leave a sick person alone, that's ok! Alpha's friends will be much better company for Axel anyway!
At first, Dick really did not like the idea of the child anywhere near Axel or himself but has well come to the understanding that the kid genuinely means well and no harm at all. Honestly with how overly 'knightly' the kid is, he is just setting himself up for pain in the future to come.
Who?
...Oh, right. He had a son. Actually like.. he probably had.. two...? Was that right? ..Well either way. Having a son was alright. Tadeusz was actually cute and Sarami was happy, and like, okay, he felt kinda bad running away from lil' Tadeusz and pregnant Sarami, but, look, he HAD to, or else he- they'd ALL get killed. And at least in this scenario his son is probably chilling with mom and... sister.. brother, whatever, in Sarami's parents' mansion and the bloodline is secure too, because, well, just look at him. Full-on Żeleński armadillo! Like his dad, and grandpa, and then some other dead people. All's good. Aaaall thanks to Makduf.
How can you not understand what EVIL is? Of course, Alpha understands that there's instances when evil people do evil things for reasons they think are right. Like trying to steal treasure because their child is sick so they need money for that child and can't get it in any other way! And there's also ways to get evil people to be good, then obviously their deeds are not forgotten, but they can be forgiven, so evil isn't always REALLY evil. But.. what did that kid mean, saying that evil doesn't exist, yet Alpha can't fight it? People do bad things, so it's there! But they can be stopped, so it can be FOUGHT! It's simple as two plus two, and Karma is a weird kid for not understanding that, but that's alright. They could be friends, and maybe Karma would eventually want to join him and White Flame and beat up evil with them!
Another one time meeting. And Alpha was an odd one, more odd than Karma would label themselves. Just talking about knights and fighting evil, like yes sure that is how the world works. Clearly no grey in that black and white spectrum of good and evil. Though after the time that has passed, Karma is curious to see how this hybrid ended up and if his views have changed at all since.
Alpha's met Vita once before - and he remembers it was a nice meeting, too. She was interesting - she said her name was Princess, but she wasn't actually a princess? And she was made of.. DNA.. clone.. things..? He's.. not sure how that works, but he'll probably learn about that at some point! They talked about their parents a bit and she lead him to her house, it was nice! He's however.. not seen her in.. what, two years? Well. If he ever does meet her again though, he'll stop by and talk to her for sure!
Young boy whom she met in the forest during her earlier times. Generally got the vibe he's a good person but doesn't seem to know a lot about the world. She hopes he's doing okay in this world and that their paths might cross one day.
...Who? Oh, uh, li... library lady, right? Yeah! She had a lot of myth and history books, they looked really interesting and he borrowed one, and so far it's really interesting!! He didn't know something like myths existed. They have a lot of god stuff, he wonders if he can find Elpis in one of those books too. The stories are all kinda exagerated, but... oh, uh... well.. library lady seemed nice? But they're all quiet and nice at the library.. Her name, um, Ariel..? ..It's been only ten minutes, he can't remember much..
Ah! What a sweet child. His love for knights and stories about them was really sweet, and he seemed incredibly polite for a child of his age! She feels a tad guilty about not being more useful at the time, but she sorely hopes he comes back occasionally to borrow or read books.
She was cool! A demon girl, with demon looks and demon powers and a shy voice and a nice personality! And she liked swimming! He still wants to go swimming with her someday - despite... everything that happened. He.. doesn't believe all demons are inherently BAD, like Drastic says. ...Surely, some more meetings with people like her would prove either of them wrong, and HE'S sure it'd be Drastic proven wrong!
What a smart kid! He knew so much, and he had some really good stories! He also proposed to go swimming some time together, which would be really cool too! She could race him in the water (and win, obviously), and she could show off her powers, and he could tell more stories. Sounds like a good plan.
She looked like some sort of cyberpunk knight in an armour of pipes! It looked amazing!! And she seemed interesting too, and came from faraway places... like over the s e a! He'd love to hear about them, he's never really been um... anywhere, but his forest and the city!
