As a beanling

During a chilly October, Sugar's connection to the world she lived in with Cj and the others became increasingly unstable. Eventually this resulted in her losing access to the place at all, leaving behind just the shell while her mind couldn't actually connect. Cj in particular took care of her during this time, but as weeks went by, the uncertainty and absence wore on both of them. After nearly a month, Sugar used some of her magic to gift Cj a small aloe vera plant, as a reminder that she was still trying to reach him and would come back as soon as she could; to tell him how much she wished she could get back. He couldn't help but agree, silently wishing things would stabilize so she could return soon as well.

Whether from his wish or hers, (or a combination of both, perhaps?) later that night Cj discovered a tiny beanling curled up in the center of the aloe's leaves. After an initial panic due to not knowing what to do and worrying about harming the little one, Cj stepped up to take care of her. He managed to reach Sugar, and suggested the name "Nomi" for her (Drawing from 'Nomeolvides', the Spanish translation of Forget-Me-Not flowers). Sugar was thrilled with the name, and so it stuck.

Blooming

Weeks passed with Cj taking care of Nomi (with some help from Spot, of course) before Sugar was finally able to stabilize her connection. It took a while, but once Cj and Sugar both started to accept that she might actually be back, Nomi grew from her beanling self to a full-grown flowerling, her wish having come true. Around the same time another troublemaker of a beanling, Tack, showed up at the house. Between magic lessons with Sugar, learning whatever she could from Cj and his reading, and helping Spot with things around the house, Nomi fell into an older sister sort of role towards Tack rather easily. Eventually he bloomed as well, and the two decided to finally visit Prism Vale together.

In Prism Vale

After arriving in Prism Vale, Nomi was immediately enamored with the idea of continuing her magic training. However, there was the matter of getting herself and Tack settled somewhere first. After a bit of deliberation, the two flowerlings decided to set up a home on Viridian Island, mostly due to it reminding them of the forest that their wishers live in. The two travelled as far up along the mountain as they could before they finally settled on a place to live.

Nomi often travels between islands, having a particular fondness for Versii and Azul. She aspires to join the Order of Affinity, though so far she hasn't acted on it much, chalking it up to keeping an eye on Tack and keeping him out of trouble. She visits Cj and Sugar often still, eager to keep them informed about new events around Prism Vale and to catch up with happenings at home.
