Caspian has always been a meek Spinxyn and is usually seen with an expression of worry on his face. He has spent his entire life in the dredges of Catalis, usually preferring the communities near the western docks. Most don't really treat him with any sort of respect, and he's often treated as an easy target for pranks by young Spinx or as a gofer.

Easily swayed by peer pressure, he was bullied into a rambunctious clowder in his late teens and was often forced to do the dirty work to set up the tamer pranks. The clowder didn't really discrimitate who they pranked, but their favorite targets were Merphin who wandered into the area. One day a prank went too far, and the Merphin cursed the first Spinx they saw from the group, which happened to be Caspian that day. Since being cursed, the clowder abandoned him and bullied him to a different part of the docks.

Overall, Caspian is not a bad Spinxyn, but he is very easily pressured into causing mischief despite any protests. He also seems to be a magnet for bad luck, and if anyone asked about it they would simply say, "if he didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all."

Caspian's growth curse causes kelp to grow on his entire body, though many mistake it for abundant fluff from a distance.

- The kelp on his body grows up to 1ft per day, and it has to be trimmed regularly
- He also has to be constantly IN water, otherwise the kelp dries and gets extremely itchy. Since he does not have a gift to aid him in breathing underwater, he stays submerged all day until he goes to sleep.
- The kelp doesn't actually photosynthesize, so he is constantly hungry and always searching for food. Despite his huge appetite, when freshly cut he looks very frail most of the time.
- When cut, the kelp can be dried as normal, but because it's cursed no one knows if it's good for anything :(
