Empathetic
Kind, soft, quick to put himself in others' shoes and pick up on what they need. Very sensitive to the "mood" of a room, easily whipped about by strong emotion; negative settings really drain him.
Hardworking
A workhorse who never seems to tire; durable and patient, not easily fazed by setbacks. Has a strong sense of duty, giving him an (otherwise rare) stubbornness and a bossy streak under pressure.
Mellow
Patient, mild-mannered, very slow to anger; generally just gets sad instead. The only righteous indignation you'll ever see from him is on someone else's behalf.

Organized, relies on day-to-day routine (which is not to say he can't adapt, but he needs some kind of structure to function well). Always plans his schedules well in advance.
Compliant
Respectful of authority, prone to groupthink and bowing to stronger wills. Likes to make people happy to the point of selflessness; has a strong need to be respected and relied upon, which can easily be taken advantage of.
Dependent
Highly extroverted and really needs outside input and positive interaction to thrive, becoming discouraged and listless without others around. Prone to latching on to outspoken leadership types if there's no one else around.

Trivia
- "Jackdaw" is a nickname from his first private client: his full name is Jack Dawa. He doesn't mind being called by either.
- Speaks in a deep, soothing, British-accented register, but his singing voice is ruined by his utter tone deafness. His family used to joke that he could kill a cat with a song
- Not a picky eater whatsoever. He tries to eat healthy so he'll stay fit, but his guilty pleasure is salted caramel pretzels.
- Carries the equivalent of a small pharmacy around at all times. You never know when someone might need their inhaler.
Relationships
Romy
A ghost tied to Jack for no reason that either of them can discern, though they only became visible to him after gaining his taboo. Romy likes egging him on to do unwise things, such as fistfighting his way out of every annoyance. Jack has developed the patience of a saint to avoid replying to them in public, thus his harried older sibling vibe despite being a only child. Even so, having a second set of eyes around has saved his bacon more times than he can count.
Fiore
Jack's current client. He's rather fond of her, seeing her as a younger sister (although Romy will passionately argue otherwise, half sincerely and half to needle him over his complete lack of a love life). To be fair to Romy, he's gone far and beyond his bodyguard duties to Fiore, checking in at odd hours with groceries and doing the dusting while she's out. For her part, Jack is one of the few people that Fiore seems completely comfortable with, and they're inarguably close.
Min Siju
An acquaintance who Jack met at a Christmas party. They've kept in touch since then and get along quite well, though Romy (usually vociferous regarding Jack's limited social circle) seems lukewarm about this development. Something about "not shipping it"...?
