About

A very tragic individual, Huojin was originally a poor farmer in his past life who was wrongfully accused of a crime he had not commited. He was sentenced to death and hung, and when the rope snapped and did not kill him he was eventually burned. He eventually came back as a Litwik and was found by his current trainer Gobi. A quiet and polite individual, Huojin has always helped to ground his teammates and grasp onto the little bits of humanity they once had. Many of the Pokemon admire his ability to be kind and positive even with his tragic past. Unfortunately due to his sudden violent death, Huojin gets anxious easily and suffers ptsd which triggers explosions from his fiery body, but it was through his trainer that Huojin found peace within himself to accept his current form and to continue living. He still gets nervous easily and some days can be hard, but he finds that it is slowly getting better now that he is surrounded by good people.

Trivia

• Very friendly and easy to get along with! But can get a bit shy and worries a lot.
• Doesn't ever know how to say no to others. A people pleaser till the end.
• Hates drama but people are always coming to him with drama because he is a great listener.
• Best friends with Norman! He wishes Norman would stop telling him all his nasty thoughts/dreams about Gobi though.
• Very nervous around human beings. He prefers the company of other Pokemon, mainly ghosts.
• Huojin is essentially a scarecrow. He is stuffed with hay and can always rebuild his body as long as he has the materials.
• His fire is magic based and only burns if he wants it to, hence why his hay and straw body does not burn up. So if you are friendly with him touching it feels cold and airy to the touch. If he feels threatened his fire will burn.
• He cannot take the noose off his neck and it is stuck on him permanently. He assumes it is punishment from his previous life.
• Despite having such a sad past, Huojin is actually a very happy individual! He gets awkward when others learn of his past and tell them not to worry so much on his behalf.

Norman [ Best Friend ]

Huojin was the second Pokemon to be introducted to the team, so it was no surprise he and Norman became close friends, they were the first two! The two have a great friendship and confide in each other often. Norman does moreso but Huojin doesn't seem to mind. Despite Norman's weird nsfw conversations Huojin admires Norman's love for Gobi and hopes his friend finds true love eventually.

Gobi [ Close Friend ]

Huojin deeply respects Gobi and is forever grateful to him. He admires how strong his trainer is and how much he sacrifices for his Pokemon. He dislikes when Gobi acts slobbish and lazy but lets it go as Huojin knows his trainer's true personality. He wishes Gobi wouldn't leave his underwear everywhere though.

Imhotep [ Close Friend??! ]

Imhotep?? and Huojin?? Friends? As crazy as it sounds, the two have a rich and complicated friendship together. Huojin wishes Imhotep would stop bullying him all the time, but he understands better than anyone what Imhotep has gone through and knows Imhotep better than anybody else in the world. Even if Imhotep might never admit it, Huojin considers Imhotep a close friend and knows that deep down he has the potential to be good. Deep, deep down.
