Ana

To most, Ana is one of the most intimidating people you could meet. Everything about her, from her appearance to her demeanor to the sheer amount of money that she has makes her seem extremely predatory. And she is - she does marketing for a living after all. To top it all off, she’s exceptionally vain. Ana spends hours on her appearance - making sure all her fluff stays in place, sharpening her teeth, etc.

Ana is an extremely independent woman. She is very confident in her ability to tackle her problems head on, and stubbornly refuses to accept help from almost everyone (except her wife and maybe her coworkers on occasion). Ana absolutely despises the idea of having to rely on people for almost anything outside the workplace, and will go to extreme lengths to avoid having to rely on people.

Ana is very good at understanding how people function. A lot of her time is spent observing them, from simply people-watching on the street to examining their inner psychology. To be honest, she should’ve been a research psychologist what with the amount of time she spends learning about people. With all the information she’s gathered, she’s able to make fairly accurate predictions on how people will react to certain things.

Outside of the workplace, Ana is the kind of person who has a lot of hobbies. She’s a jack-of-all-trades kind of person - she loves to create things, whether its needlepoint or food (especially food) or weird baskets. She’s also a collector of all sorts of weird objects: anywhere from briefly run figurines to strange rocks to the weird stuff you find in your grandmother’s basement. Ana has it all and takes such excellent care of all of it.

Ana is not someone to be trifled with. She doesn’t bend easily to the whims of the people around her; a solid no to someone who’s being an idiot is as common as the sun rises. If you do something to hurt her or her wife, she can and will retaliate. Generally, her revenge comes in the form of social ostracization - she wields a lot of power over people and is not afraid to use it.

Ana was adopted at a young age by an exceptionally wealthy gay couple. Her dads were well known for adopting children who had started off from unfortunate circumstances and giving them better lives. She was one of those children - apparently her birth parents were drug addicts? That didn’t matter to Ana, though. She was perfectly fine living with her wonderful dads.

One of Ana’s little brothers was a werewolf, bitten at a young age during an attack that killed his parents. At first, their dads tried to keep him contained. Ana devoted a lot of her time to finding something to contain him, but no resources seemed to have any answers. That is, until she found something that said that the werewolf transformation took a lot of energy and werewolves tended to go feral because they were starving.

This gave Ana an idea - what if she and her dads gave her brother a lot of food? That way he wouldn’t be hungry in wolf form and would hopefully not go feral. They put this idea to the test, hoping and praying that it would work. And it did! After feasting on more food than seemed possible, the boy was a much nicer wolf. So long as he was fed well, he was perfectly fine.

All of this inspired a love of cooking in Ana. It thrilled her when people enjoyed her food, and she wanted to spread that joy as far as possible. So, with her dads’ blessing, she opened a restaurant.

People loved it, of course. She was brilliant, well respected, and always had a personable attitude. In the beginning, she had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the reality of people’s complete disregard for food service workers - even higher end ones - drove her out of the business. So, Ana sold the place to someone else and went off to study business instead.

During her transitory period, she met Lydia at a library when Lydia was looking for resources about her lycanthropy. This started a tentative friendship that escalated into romance when Ana cooked a massive meal for Lydia, who enjoyed it immensely and discovered just how much Ana really knew about werewolves.

It took a few years for them to get married - Ana wanted to finish going to school, Lydia needed some time to get her life back together, all of that crap. However, they eventually did get married, and have been living happily together ever since.

Both women climbed their respective corporate ladders and have become exceptionally wealthy. Although they’re both busy, they always make time for each other. Ana is perfectly fine with that.
