Henley Harranhad's Links
Henley is fascinated by Arabella, though that could be argued that it’s more a result of Arabella’s latent siren attraction aura than anything relating to her personality. He can often be found zoning out or daydreaming in her presence, which is typical of most people who might be attracted to her.
Arabella doesn’t know much about Henley other than the fact that he lives with Attus and works at the bar where the two first met, but she finds it curious that a clearly well-trained fighter is currently slumming it in taverns and libraries.
Acknowledging Ness’s skills as a hunter/fighter, Henley can’t help but feel insecure in his abilities as a knight. While he doesn’t know them well, he also feels inadequate in his ability to hold Attus’ interest when it comes to magic and the arcane arts when compared to them.
Like Arabella, Ness isn’t terribly familiar with Henley as they’ve only spoken a couple of times before when Henley was at work. They believe he seems friendly enough and agrees that he does have a talent for cooking.
Having been friends since their gremlin childhood days, Henley considers Attus one of his oldest and most beloved friends, despite the fact that he’s considered an outsider by the Harranhad clan. Henley is devoted to Attus, even risking his life and separating from his family to follow him into the past and make sure he’s safe. Henley is proud of how smart and hard working Attus is, though he often feels guilty that he’s in the way of Verysse’s plans for Attus to settle and have children.
The two started out as childhood friends, in Attus' less flattering days. They traveled through the same wormhole together, both being flung into the past. Sometimes they reminisce about the future, but find solace in sharing history with each other. Attus eventually invited Henley to live with him in his library. Spending more time together in his cramped bedroom, he has even warmed up to starting a relationship with him. The two practice sparring with Attus' magic and Henley's brawn. Though Henley is naive, Attus reminds him that he shouldn't sell himself short and he always is thankful for Henley's hard work and perseverance.
