Stellaris was previously known by another name, and another identity. She was raised as a typical charr, away from her parents, taught to fight in life’s endless war. However, she never really got the hang of ruthlessly killing another being; she had too much care for the world.
By means of mistake, she heard of a secret organization called The Order of Whispers and decided to seek them out. She quickly climbed the ladder of rank until her mentor was lost in a battle. After this, she stayed doing cleaning and healing work at the Whispers’ hideout, afraid to go out in the field again. However, a few years later she was stationed in the Maguuma Jungle to help with the joint effort to take down the jungle dragon.
Naturally, she wasn’t thrilled. She had previously lost a very good friend and mentor to the attack of a dragon, and she was fearful of her life and her peers. Nevertheless, she joined the fight to the Heart of Thorns, a towering tree that hosted the jungle dragon. As she maneuvered across the floating islands, the dragon saw its chance to attack. The dragon reared up above the island, releasing a magical ley-energy enhanced roar. The roar shook the young charr’s heart to the very core, and she ran, her muscles now controlled by fear. Most would have ran to their deaths, but our protagonist was not as lucky. Strands of bright magical energy caught her, entangling her in their fiery grip. She should have died, wanted to die. In shame, she escaped into the jungle, wounded and changing from her magical exposure; the magic burned her flesh and seared into her skin like a tattoo, a permanent reminder of her failure and cowardice.
It wasn’t until she met a certain charr that she finally thought of herself as beautiful again and worthy of care.
