Speaking trait: He's?? Nervous???? But uh, tries to think everything through. Sensibly. He's an adult and he can deal with problems. It's just. STRESSFUL.

Character traits: A little paranoid, but kind-hearted, a bit too hostile towards people who wrong him, and a bit too trusting towards people who help him out, generally easily manipulated. ...Despite said slight paranoia. He's a confused boy. A bit of a loner, but open to meet new people.

Specific traits: Usually accompanied by a pigeon or two, has one torn ear and sometimes wears an earring in the other ear. Gets a little fidgety when stressed, picks at his tail a lot then.

analyses every situation quite critically, trying to get helpful information anyway he can

doesn't have much muscle or fight experience
tends to be unsure about his own knowledge even though he's literally a professional
has trouble choosing who to trust
his 'thorough analysis' slows him down

Backstory(short version)

0: ...Born?

1-14: To be frank with you, I'm not entirely sure what his childhood was like. I never got that far. Couldn't have been too good though, cause as soon as he finished primary school and went on to middle, he got into all sorts of bad environments, and  whatever his parents were (most likely alcoholics), they didn't care quite enough to help him out of it.

15: When he was around 15 years old, David decided that he's TOTALLY an adult, and his family sucks, and the school sucks, and the world sucks, and so he decided to live on his own, ditch his hometown and go be adults with his super mature friends!

15-16: That didn't work out for him either, because fast forward two years, and he was without a house, a job to get him the house, or a friend that would temporarily accept him into his own. All he had was a bunch of debts, a few scars from fights mainly because of said debts, and constant cravings that he had trouble calming down.

16: Conveniently enough before he managed to die one way or another, one sunny evening Mr. Cat just sorta strolled into the alleyway he was currently hiding in. And he sat next to David. And then they just talked. They both came to the conclusion that David had pretty much nothing to lose, and that whatever Mr. Cat had suddenly come up with couldn't have made matters any worse.

17-18: What basically happened is that David accidentally agreed to getting into a therapy. And into a school catch-up. And into a new family, and even a job after the school. Holy shit what just happened.

19: David decides to get into biology! It's just interesting to him, together with magic, since both tie into powers, which he uh, doesn't have. But his new dad researches them and so do, like, most of his brothers! Plus maybe then he can help Felix regain his own... He's been really down ever since Ernest got.... hurt. Though David's not entirely sure if they should be continuing the project with Felix's current state. But family knows best, right?

20-25: Well, things have definitely happened over the years. They got Ernest back! But Flix didn't really end up all healthy as expected. He doesn't seem to hate people... or like them. Apart from Ernest. He doesn't show up often, that's for sure. Nora grew up to be cool, and Ed comes over quite often, and listening to him ramble about piloting and his travels is great! It's just Leo who grew distant overtime for no apparent reason, thouugh he visits also. David got his 2 degrees with only slight slip-ups, and he's been completely clean ever since he picked up that stupid pigeon feeding thing, and he realises it's stupid, but it calms him down and he'd rather do this than tumble back down again. He also lives alone now, but doesn't really try to separate himself that much. ...Maybe just a little.

26: He loves his family, after all! But he's worried they could blame him for the whole Flix ordeal... Well yeah, he was barely an adult back then, but shouldn't he have acted up more? ... But he's probably just being slightly paranoid. And stressed from work, and his doctor studies. And he doesn't really get out much, other than like, with Ernest, or some work colleagues. He needs a lil break, he deserves it. He's gonna go on vacation!
