About

Aoi is a teenage Nunuke who’s currently learning the arts of swordsmanship and martial arts through a wise sensei that she was adopted by and living with. She doesn’t need to attend public high school, has already obtained her GED at a young age, and is working to become the next swordmaster and inherit her teacher’s title.

She also helps supervise her best friend Kenji whenever she’s not trying to meditate or train.

Personality

For someone her age, Aoi is mature and composed. Well, for the most part anyway. Peace is key to her training and it’ll help discipline her in the long run, so she tries to be understanding of different values, but sometimes things happen and she has to be prepared to fight.

She’s got a lot of stamina, which has helped her survive and endure many things in life, and has stern determination. She’s very difficult to annoy, but she’s not entirely infallible.

Lastly, she’s quite the introvert and can be reserved. She doesn’t do too well in large group settings and gets socially stoic (she’ll just freeze up) around faces she’s not all that familiar with.

Abilities

Unlike most Nunukes, Aoi was not born with a stinger tail. The end of her tail has flowers instead of the typical spike(s). However, she can still fight using her bear paws and swords. She isn’t a weakling and is able to outsmart an enemy not just with power, but with smarts as well.

She’s capable of using quick and strategic thinking while engaged in battle. She’s practically the perfect martial arts student, and that’s excluding her insane stamina.

However, she mostly relies on her strength to back her up, since she does lack a little bit in the speed department.

Backstory

Aoi doesn’t really know where her biological roots date back from, and Sunny-sensei (the guy that would soon be like a father figure and teacher to her) didn’t know either. He found Aoi given to him and his wife Juvia on their doorstep one day as an infant, and from there they just decided to raise her like their own.

According to Sunny-sensei, Aoi used to be quite the loud baby. She would cry often and demand attention. As she grew older, she would eventually be the complete opposite of that. When she was a child, Aoi would hide behind Juvia or Sunny-sensei’s legs every time she met an unfamiliar person. She was timid, bashful, and didn’t know how to talk to people. (She still sometimes doesn’t.)

Because she was so awkward around new faces, and she didn’t seem comfortable with the other kids during daycare, and Sunny-sensei would notice this, he decided to homeschool her. He would also teach her the art of swordsmanship and martial arts, and he’d take her under his wing. He believed that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind, and he only wanted to see the best being brought out of Aoi.

And that’s where Aoi is to this day.

The only thing that’s changed is that she now has an additional member to the family (her best friend Kenji) and the fact that she doesn’t need to continue her homeschool education anymore since she managed to get her GED early.

She may still be young now, but Aoi really admires Sunny-sensei and just wants to be like him someday in the future. (Maybe excluding all the weed he’ll smoke sometimes.)

Other

Aoi has very sharp teeth. Kenji is easily amused by them. She felt judged at first whenever Kenji would watch her eat in fascination, but now she’s just used to it.

She’s not all that accustomed to eating junk food or sweets since Sunny-sensei would always advise her to be careful of her diet. What she eats can severely affect how she performs. Not that Kenji believes in this, but she does. (Although a cheat day every now and then doesn’t hurt.)
