The one no one knows where they came from. Someone who doesn't want to talk about their past and who joined the angels society as a late teen, with restrictions and under specific conditions. They never felt particularly attached to the place or people, until they met Ilenne, the woman who has a special place in their heart. Set on being loyal to her, they got involved in an incident in which they were kicked out of the society, and labeled heretic.
Ray has numerous wounds and scars, being in the frontline during battles, though they are used to it. They also lost their left arm at some point in a life-threaning situation. As adult they have recurrent nightmares -mostly about their childhood- in which they can react violently. They also deal with past trauma and often overthink about their value as a person, due to being used and treated as a puppet for a big part of their life.
They are the type that might scare off people, being almost 2 meters tall, buff and loud, though for the most part, even if they struggle making friends, they don't wish harm on anyone. They try to be somewhat friendly, sociable and get along with others, though they care about very few people and themselves.
Hobbies
- Playing music - not an expert, but they will try to play any instrument that falls on their hands
- Training - whether alone or with Ilenne, since it keeps their mind and body busy
- Watching blacksmiths and jewelerer's work, since they like their craft

Prompts
Ray often enjoys practicing with weapons - either their usual (double head axe or big two-handed sword) or other types to try out (spear, mace, one-hand sword and shield, scimitars etc.)
Training with Ilenne is also cool, they enjoy their time together. Or exercising alone.
They also like playing music with whichever instrument they can get on their hands: lute, horns, harp/lyre, drums, handpan, flute...
Whenever there's a town market or similar Ray will be there taking a look at the goodies - and perhaps haggling with sellers
Good eater who won't doubt trying out new food, though they don't really cook themselves. They appreciate Val's cooking (and his efforts to cook something with meat for Ray considering he rarely eats it)
Doesn't mind hunting/fishing at all and knows how to work with/cook what they hunt...they just -dont like- cooking (would only do to not starve)
Usually drawn to/fascinated by finesmiths, armorers, blacksmiths and jewelers - they love seeing any fancy details like armor engravings, gems etc.
Sometimes they just stare with a neutral expression to Val and Ilenne playing chess because they get how to play but they aren't interested
Relationships
Note: this isn't a love triangle, it's an open relation between Ile-Ray-ValIlenne [ Girlfriend ]
Partners in crime, best friends, battling comrades and most importantly lovers. They trust each other in and out of battle, and fight together knowing each other's weakness. They enjoy training together and, while they aren't particularly public about it, they very intimate. Both bear slightly tragic pasts and are aware of the other's worries and fears, so they support each other all the time. Ray might tease/annoy Ilenne sometimes, and they often call each other names -in a friendly way-, which leaves people puzzled as if they are close or not. They often argue either over small things or more important ones, but they solve it sooner than later.
Valentine [ Friend ]
Good friends since they started knowing each other among the celestials' ranks. Originally, Val was the one who met Ray first, as he took care of them after a battle, and later they had another chance to start talking as Ray covered his back during a different fight. Val is really patient with Rayna, as he knows how they are, though in pre-timeskip they felt as if they would never really understand each other. In post-timeskip their friendship only gets closer and they become more caring of each other, seeing them as family, accepting their different mindsets and yet influencing it.
Mimi [ Friend ]
In one outcome of the post-timeskip Ray finds Mimi scared, wounded and with nowhere to return. They see their past self in Mimi and can't avoid helping her, growing fond of her. Mimi is a literal kid and at first she hugs their legs, climbs up to their back and searches for them when she can't find them. They develop almost a parent-kid relation, with Ray being very protective of her.
