Agnes

Agnes lives at the Witherbloom Archives in kind of a weird creepy den full of preserved dead things and books. The candles in her hoard are magical, and don't burn or light things aflame--they only give off light and look kind of spooky. Before Basil realized she lived there, he thought the place was just haunted because she was always skittering around and moving things. She's spooky and sneaky like that, and weird bones and dried bugs were showing up everywhere, so. He nearly shit himself when he finally came face to face with her.

They're buddies now, and often Agnes functions as a go-between for Basil and his boss, Marjorie, when she's feeling particularly reclusive. One might say Agnes is his manager, a conclusion she would reasonably agree with, though she would argue the semantics on friendship versus work partners. Agnes is a suspicious and guarded sort, and is difficult to acquaint oneself with closely. 

Being that she sets up much of her sister Marjorie's work, Agnes deals with a great many people to gather archive materials.
