Most people see Styles as crass and reckless when in reality, he's surprisingly soft. Sure, he's a bit of a class clown, but it's mainly due to him using humor as a crutch. He hates being seen as "The Alpha's kid brother", even though he's the main person who holds that view. He won't admit it, but he adopted his snarkier persona to distinguish himself from his golden boy brother. He's somewhat distrustful of others, part of him believes seemingly kind people are just kissing up to him.
If you get past Styles' defense, he's very thoughtful and caring. He'll go out of his way to spend time or cheer up people he likes. He's impulsive and daring, but he's also just a big pushover, and for the most part, he does as he's told. He cares deeply about his pack and family, it's just in his own (not always obvious) way.
