Lenny is a lot of things: stubborn, blunt, mostly quiet, impulsive, slightly spoiled, often anti-social, grumpy as hell, a bit of a tsundere. He has moments where he smiles and is generally adorable, but he typically has a permanent scowl on his face and a no-nonsense attitude. Lenny can be a hard worker when he applies himself, but is otherwise pretty lazy (especially around the house) and lives a disorganized lifestyle. He’s extremely unknowledgeable about many basic life skills any other person his age would know and doesn’t seem to understand how to be a normal kid. Though he tries to play at being an adult by acting collected and independent, he is very much a child underneath the exterior (one that needs supportive figures in his life), and he harbors many childish fears and traits, chief among them being nyctophobia.

Though he himself doesn’t tend to think things through before acting on them, he’s valuable as a check on other people. He’ll question their decisions before anything happens and can sometimes serve as a balance system to more strong leader-types of people. This has earned him the role as the "rival" on his team. Lenny has had a hard time making friends and his father's negligence has caused him to give up on ever having a decent home life. Wizardmon does eventually break through to him and his less than ideal upbringing, though Lenny is too emotionally stunted (and proud) to admit it. The two aren't "bffs" but they have a mutual respect for one another. They both know they can be each other's support without ever having to ask.

He and Sophie are stepsiblings.
