BATTLE EDUCATION

After the events at the Royal Academy, Finnley finds himself struggling to want to continue fighting. But because of his healing abilities, he knows he needs to press on. He concentrates on both healing and archery. Specifically though, he trains his body so that he could be a bit stronger.

WEAPON SKILL

Finnley has worked out a bit so that he has more control over his archery. His aim could use more work, but when he hits his mark, it definitely sticks. He's much stronger than he was before, though he still can't hold a candle to the physical fighters. It's impressive for Finnley, though.

NO WEAPON SKILL

Finnley is still a sitting duck, though not one just waiting to die. His bit of strength could be what saves his life though. He prefers not to have to do any hand to hand combat though, everybody knows the outcome of that would be very painful for him.

PERSONALITY

Mild Mannered. Humble. Persistent.

Finnley hasn't changed too much over the last two years. At face value, he's still the same mellow, soft spoken boy he always has been. He doesn't rock the boat, and he continues to do his best to be a good person. But there's something stirring just under the still waters.

Not only has he discovered that he's a reincarnated soul, but that he comes from a person who was considered a villain and even worse- worthless, as a person, whose value was only in his body. Finnley acknowledges that he and the other three that are afflicted with this curse, have got to live with this. Because of their past connection, he cares deeply for Azriel, Celine and Meri. 

When it comes specifically to Aries and Azriel- two on the enemy side- he's much more vocal and willing to stick his neck out. A drastic change from the boy who never wanted to upset others. He's trying hard to convince both boys to leave Yulia's side, but it's difficult. He tends to focus his energy into Aries, as Azriel still has Meri and Celine to try to convince him.

About

Finnley has deep rooted issues festering inside of him. He has discovered he's Cleff's reincarnation, who was only meant to serve as Etzal's body when the time was right. He knows deep down, Cleff wanted to do the right thing, even though he was born to be a villain. So for his own sake as well as Cleff's, Finnley does his best to help others- especially Aries and Azriel.

Azriel is reincarnated from Takato, who also is Etzal. Takato and Cleff made up Etzal's being, thus understand each other well. Aries is simply the person Finnley fell in love with and wants to save more than anything. He struggles to not look like an enemy or traitor in Prince Nolan or Prince Rayden's eyes, but there's so much more at stake than they can realize- an age old burden, that threatens to become a three part chain.

Aries Roelle [ love interest ]

The two had already began dating two years ago, but joined different sides... without really ever breaking up. It's clear Aries avoids Finnley's locations on battlefields, and when the two do end up meeting face to face, it's a painful reunion with many wishes the other would follow. Finnley's too fiercely determined to give up Aries, and knows if they break up, there's little he can do to save his life. The weight of that burden sometimes drags Finnley down, but he refuses to give up on Aries.

Azriel Demont [ friend ]

Azriel has also found himself in a precarious spot, part of the enemy and closely linked to the top officers. Finnley has found himself speaking with Azriel on a number of occasions, and in those moments it sometimes feels like there's no war around them at all. He sees that Azriel is following a painful path- one that he feels like he saw once before in a past life. But Finnley knows that Azriel is not tied permanently to this path, that he just needs the right conviction to send him down a healthier path. If nothing else, Finnley is great for a moment of relief between the two, a time to talk as friends would if war were not happening. 

Celine Sterling [ friend ]

Celine is a breath of fresh air, in that she's not on the enemy side. Truth be told, Finnley is fearful to get too close to Celine. After all, she's Prince Rayden's most cherished person... and he is defending enemy troops. He does keep his distance, sometimes getting painful pangs that a deep dark past self is recalling, knowing that Celine was to represent the person who both slaughtered him and represented all good in the world. He won't take those feelings out on her though. Celine is Celine! Not Ailah, nor reduced to merely "Kassina's body," and they'll make it out all right.
