Danny has sugar magic that allows him communicate to plants. The clearest the plant's voices sound is when he is directly touching them, though from a distance he can hear small chattering or abstract noises here and there. Because of this ability, he is able to give all of his plants the utmost care, giving each of them the proper care they need to stay healthy.

An uncommon trait. Danny's sugar freckles are made of ground coconut flakes!

Danny is never seen without a smile on his face. He wants to spread liveliness where ever and whenever he can!

Personality

Danny is a genuine and heartwarming person, always willing to see the good in people before anything else. He is known for his kindness and applies that to how he takes care of his plants and others. He can be a bit air-headed and gullible, making him a pretty easy target for people to take advantage of. However, that doesn't stop him from having his positive view on the world, since he's a very glass half full sort of guy.

The "Curse"

Danny was always a bright and cheerful kit. Even after being left under the care of his grandmother, he never held any ill feelings towards his parents for abandoning him. The reason for his uprooting was due to a particular "curse," one that, as described by his grandmother, his family line always was wary of because of the evil that can come from it. However, Danny's grandmother was one to believe that the sugar magic that they inherited was one that always has the opportunity to be used for good, as long as it is nurtured under the right conditions. His grandmother teaches him how to care for plants and how her magic helps them grow through her melodies.

A New Home

Danny was always an eccentric kit even before his plant communicating abilities came into play, turning him into an easy target for kits who would rather take advantage of Danny's innocence and naivety. However, he never cried or complained, instead feeling that he was being good for doing what his "friends" wanted him to do. Whenever Danny came home from school with things missing or bruises and scrapes, his grandmother's worries only grew larger and larger. It pushed her to reach out to a chef she befriended through a farmer's market while selling her herbs and vegetables, asking her friend to take Danny in so that he could start fresh in a new part of the city and make friends there.

When Danny officially moves into the chef's household, that's when he meets the chef's son, Rion Rin. Despite Rion's initial apprehensions towards him, Danny's persitence and puppy-like behavior of following Rion around eventually allowed Rion to accept Danny as his older brother, the two to growing closer as siblings by bonding over their love for nature.

Dropout

Danny manages to get through his elementary-middle school years despite the bullying following him to his new school. However, at the start of his sophomore year of high school, he is pulled out due to the concerning level of exploitation he would face from his peers. As per usual with Danny's mindset, he has no hard feelings on any of the kits that have treated him poorly, even still calling them his friends.

While homeschooled for the rest of his high school years, Danny is given the unfortunate news that his grandmother had passed away. In her will to him, she left him a large sum of nyeni to support himself with, ownership to her beloved greenhouse, and various other belongings that she felt would help Danny out once she was gone. With the help of Rion and his dad, Danny returns home to gather his grandmother's things and bring them to a shop + apartment complex fusion that he uses to house all the plants left in his care.

Present Day

With everything that was given to him, Danny opens a small plant shop called The Plantry, finding joy in giving kits happiness through befriending a plant. Customers would describe his process of selling plants pretty strange, claiming that Danny actually talks to and consults the plants on their thoughts before agreeing to sell them to someone. Whether they believe in his powers or not, Danny is always able to provide a kit with a plant that resonates with them.
