About

After losing their parents to an accident, Eru is put into an orphanage. While there, Eru was taken care of taken of by an older kit named Riso, and eventually fostered by a loving elderly couple; Eru would go between living at the orphanage and living with the couple. After Eru graduates high school, the elderly couple adopts Eru as their child. As thanks and in appreciation, Eru decides to continue the tradition of running the family's community bookstore cafe.

 About the Bookstore Cafe

The community bookstore is located between bustling stores in the middle class shopping district. Its purpose is to hold donated book and sell used books, and also provide a place for small group hangouts or private reading spaces. Books do not need to be purchased when hanging out at the store, and customers may come in and enjoy the atmosphere of the building.

There is no particular theme set in the bookstore. Each room has different wallpaper that clashes with the next. There seems to be no matching furniture. Eru tries to present any non-book related objects donated, such as random paperweights in one random shelf, or a broken cuckoo clock hanging on the wall. Drinks are served in random mugs given by regulars. There are fairy lights strung along the window pane and plants sitting near the front of the shop.

Despite the haphazardness, Eru ensures that they are aware of the organization of the books themselves in the bookstore. Every time Eru receives a new donation, they would read or skim the books for quality and wear, before determining where the book should be placed.

Snacks and drinks (mostly water and homemade lemonade) are provided by Eru as complimentary treats. Sometimes local shops, such as Kousei Yozora's sweets shop, donate extra snacks that Eru can use to sell. All monetary donations go back into funding the shop and for Eru's rent.

Currently, Eru lives in the upper-most floor/attic of the building.

Personality (in-Depth)

Eru tends to slur their words and has a lisp when talking excitedly. Due to this, Eru is actually shy and gets embarrassed. Eru would mostly talk with those close to them, or with regular customers of the bookstore.

Eru finds taking care of plants fun, but actually does not have much of a green thumb. This is why the plants in the storefront are constantly changed every other week due to Eru giving Danny LaDua back their plants to be taken care of, but is then given more plants.

On random occasions, Eru would bake sweets or make homemade lemonade, which would then be given away at the bookstore.

They are currently dating both Korenne and Rain.

• The sprinkles on their hair and tail constantly fall off and grow back really fast. They are always constantly sweeping up the debris.

• Is a disorganized organizer; specifically has an organization habit that only they themself could understand. This is why the shop may seem messy or has clashing concepts, but Eru can find every book asked for quite easily.

Relationships

Korenne  [ Significant Other ]

High school friend, now lover. Korenne approached Eru while they were working in the school library during lunch break, and since began to spend time together. After Korenne went to vocational school, they kept in contact and eventually reconnected when Korenne came back from schooling. Korenne confessed to Eru first, and they are now dating.

Rain  [ Significant Other ]

Rain started off as a regular at Eru's bookstore, and later they started hanging out together after closing hours. Eru allowed Rain to use the bookstore as an escapism for her own personal issues. Eventually, Eru began to become closer to Rain after Korenne brought up if Eru had any potential crushes. Rain confronted Eru about their feelings and eventually they also started to date.

Danny  [ High School Friend ]

In highschool, Eru used to hang around Danny a lot... not that Danny had a say in it. Eru thinks of Danny as interesting and fun, and finds his habits comforting and intriguing. Currently Eru takes care of random plants from Danny's flower shop, but would often trade them with him due to not being very good at actually taking care of them.

Riso  [ Sibling, Found Family ]

Eru met Riso when arriving at the orphanage, and eventually looked up to him as an older sibling. Riso tended to speak up for Eru due to Eru’s shyness. Currently, they are on rocky terms due to an incident that caused a drift in their relationship.

Snow  [ Friend ]

Snow would visit the bookstore on their occasional time off. At first sight, Eru thought Snow was very pretty but did not have the courage to approach them. After Snow visiting several times, Eru got the courage to get to know them and learned about their self-studying habits. Ever since, Eru considers Snow a good friend and would try to help with Snow's education.
