Corey

Corey is Ozie & Mitra's kiddo, who comes along a few years in the future. He has two iterations: one as a young child, and one as a teenager. (He ages as the story progresses)

Kid!Corey:
A sweet, bubbly kid who loves animals and playing outside. Corey has bounds of playful, childish energy, which he's always looking to expend. He's about 4-5 years old in this iteration.

Relationships (as a kid):
Mitra & Ozie [parents]: Corey loves spending time with his parents. He likes listening to his father play guitar, and he enjoys painting pictures with his mother.

"Uncle" Maxwell [dad's best friend]: Max sometimes visits the family at their house, and he even occasionally babysits Corey. He's a nice guy, although Corey doesn't understand why he always seems so nervous?

Leonah, Elanor, and Tim [maternal grandparents]: Corey visits his grandparents every once in a while. He especially loves going over to his grandmothers' house, as they always have cookies and toys waiting for him! Grandpa Tim is OK, although Corey doesn't always understand his sense of humor (he's very sarcastic).

Grand-Mère [paternal grandmother]: Corey has only met his paternal grandmother in-person a couple of times. She's French and doesn't speak English very well, so they sometimes have trouble communicating. But even without words, Corey is still able to tell that his Grand-Mère loves him.

Teen!Corey:
A quiet, mature teenager. Spends his free time drawing, cosplaying, and volunteering at the library where his mother works. Organized and friendly, albeit shy. He's about 16-17 years old in this iteration.

Relationships (as a teen):
Skylar [little sister]: Skylar is about five years younger than Corey. These two siblings seem to get along pretty well (at least, Corey tries to be nice to her).

Valorie [best friend]: These two friends live on the same block, and they go to school together. They both share a love for cosplay!

Qamar [friend]; Another friend of Corey's. Qamar likes to write, and Corey likes to draw, so these two will sometimes combine their skills and create graphic novels together!

Willow [friend/"squish"]: Corey has a few classes with Willow, and they sometimes work together on partner/group projects. Corey likes Willow and wants to be better friends with her, but he's a bit awkward around her (and he's worried that his awkwardness comes across as flirting, which makes things even worse!)

Prof. Nat [teacher]: Corey's favorite teacher, partially because she's a pop culture-loving nerd. She lets Corey and Valorie host their cosplay club in her classroom during lunchtime, and she'll sometimes proofread Corey and Qamar's graphic novels!
