Aspen and her siblings were abandoned by their parents when she was two years old. She was raised by her oldest brother Hazel. He was constantly working, trying to keep the house and his siblings together.

A mysterious new girl arrived in town, and somehow dragged Aspen into pranking town residents with her. It brought light, laughter, and good company into her life. They became best friends, the closest and most fulfilling relationship Aspen had ever experienced.

Several years later, her friend got a letter from her home in America. It was an emergency, and she had to leave. Unwilling to be lonely again, Aspen decided to go with her.

• Frequent nightmares lead to poor sleep quality, so she sleeps for longer and doesn't feel rested.
• Enjoys being babied/feeling taken care of. Picked up and carried, held onto, wrapped in blankets, rocked gently, fed, given headpats or running a hand through her hair, checking up on her often, etc. But she'd never tell anyone because she doesn't want to be too much trouble.
• Aspen can't swim very well. She was scared to practice when she was younger out of fear of being swallowed by a sea serpent.
• Very heavy sleeper, sleeptalks, and is not at all a morning person.
