Delaney

Delaney is a very large and slim Elsae Ardu, otherwise know as a demon-bird hybrid. He's 230cm 7'6 in height and 200kg or 440lbs in weight without wings, 250kg or 551lbs with wings included. He's got brown smooth curved horns, large wings with a white to pink to dark red gradient, and a long tail that ends in dark red fluff. His neck's also covered in white fluff. His face is still human in shape and he has pointy demon ears, a rather slim long nose, and an oval jawline with a thin chin. His upper lip is shaped like a beak in the middle but has the same tissue as the ear and is flexible. He has thick black soft hair at shoulder's length and yellow eyes without pupils or sclera.

His skin colour is a red that's a low in saturation and mid dark. His digitigrade upper legs, tail and wings are covered in white fur. while his face, chest, and arms are left bare. His arms are human in structure, except for the hands, which have one thumb and two fingers per hand. His legs are more bird-like, with rather large feet and three toes per foot, of which one can be found on the side before the ankle. 

Colour palette

Delaney is arrogant yet charming. Since he rarely communicates, he's pretty bad at conversations, though he still is a friendly bird and can be kind to people and animals despite not sharing their experiences or understanding their context and some of the things they say. When he's not hungry he's rarely hostile to people, unless they provoked him in some way, but hunger can drive him to be highly aggressive. He has no issues attacking sentient beings for food.

He's aware of his appearance and tries to keep himself tidied up and pretty to his own standards. Despite loving to hunt, he doesn't like getting blood on him, but if it can't be avoided he doesn't mind as much.

❖ He uses some different words and patterns in his speech. He often adds 'yes' and 'no' to the beginning or ending of his sentences, he tends to make murring sounds in between sentences when he hasn't used yes or no, and he refers to himself as Delaney or bird man instead of I. He also tends to give people nicknames based on their appearance and how they treated him upon their first meeting.

❖ He roams the plains he lives on in search of places to find food. The ideal place would be one where a lot of wild fruits grow and where travellers regularly pass on their own. His territory has become known to be dangerous, so travellers rarely go there alone anymore, making it harder to find a place.

❖ When he has to go to the city to hunt, he rarely uses his wings. Most of the time, he runs through the streets on his arms and legs and only flies to enter and leave, as flying through a city full of buildings is difficult and he could hurt his wings when doing so.

❖ Smells of bison and flowers. The bison part is his natural body scent, but he does care enough for his cleanliness to regularly wash off the smell of mud and nature.
