Brambles is aligned with house Alderley - the house that values knowledge, which is a perfect match for him as he is a total bookworm! He lives above a library and pours himself into his studies. The flowers he grows are red gerberas.
Brambles is a kindhearted, cheerful and optimistic character with a zest for life and a knack for learning! Despite his excessively whimsical personality, he is very intelligent and loves learning as much as he can about the world around him through life experiences and reading factual books.
Canterwit are magical fairy creatures which represent a unique type of flower! At the start of Spring, they leave their home realm of Anther to travel to Earth and grow their flower, and by Autumn they are exhausted and return home to recharge their magic. As their magic is strengthened by positive emotions, they participate in uplifting activities to prepare them for the next Spring cycle! To encourage their passions and friendships, Canterwit align themselves into one of four houses for friendly competiton and allyship among fellow housemates.

In the early days of his life, when he was a foal, Brambles lived near Fernmoore with his father, who was the owner of a travelling horse-and-cart style book shop. His father was an avid bookworm, which had a huge influence on Brambles' interest in learning and reading. To make a living, combined with charity work, their small family travelled all over Anther with the intention of sharing their love of knowledge with many others who did not have easy access to books. By the time they reached the capital of Aspenfey, they were exhausted and in great need of rest. One of Aspenfey's highest monarchs, a King, took notice of their travelling book stall. As it stood, the King was tremendously passionate about reading with a great interest in many of the book titles they carried, and both he and Brambles' father befriended each other on the spot. The King could see that they were poor and exhausted, and very generously offered them a place of permanent residence here in the capital - with the keys to their new place they opened what would become one of the most successful libraries in all of Anther. The leap from country travelling to a home in the glistening royal capital of Aspenfey was a lot to take in at first, but soon after Brambles made his very first friend, a young prince named Brush. To this day, they are inseperable. Like his father before him, Brambles secured a perfect fit into house Alderley, of which he is incredibly devoted to. Nowadays, he spends most of his time working in the library, right up until winter when he and Brush take to earth to perform their flower growing duty and document all their adventures.
As a human, Brambles is conveyed as a medium height boy with two-toned hair, ligt skin and freckles. He really enjoys taking the form of a human, especially when he and Brush travel to earth together! Through extensive reading, he has educated himself on the lives of humans and has an endless fastination with them, which is definitely best experienced as living through the eyes of one himself. Between their travels and flower growing, Brush and Brambles often go sightseeing, where they try to discover at least one place they haven't been to before. Brambles usually carries several small diaries with him, writing artistic pieces or documentation about the things they experience together while out and about. Having a pair of hands is better than having a pair of hooves after all, so he thoroughly takes advantage of this.
