Profile

(A 1700s-themed OC that the awesome 7greenTears helped me come up with. :’D)

----

Name - Duncan

Nickname- Dunk, Dudley

Birth year- 1747

Gender - Male

Height - 5’6"

Ethnicity - Dutch

Fears- Horses

Weapons- Scabbard

Occupation- Woodsman

General Personality- Inventive, hardy, and compassionate but often skittish, hasty, and stubborn. He rarely gets surprised or shocked by much anymore. He can also be very unpredictable, taking out his scabbard and trying to solve simpler things in a more violent and ‘heroic’ manner.

----

Duncan inherited his parent’s ‘Ye Olde Print Shoppe’ in 1765 but had to close it down once the Stamp Act was enacted. He eventually despised his Pennsylvanian town and chose to live alone as a woodsman far away from civilization.

After a bit of traveling, he met a small tribe of Native Americans. After offering them some gifts, helping them with their crops, and teaching them a bit of English, he was accepted by them and they helped him build his cabin in return.

Ten years later, he woke up to what felt and sounded like an earthquake; it turns out that some redcoats came out of nowhere and accidentally shot a few cannonballs into his house. The redcoats had to explain the cause of the misfire to Duncan, who was unaware that the American Revolution even started.

After returning to town and learning that the Revolution has devastated some of the Natives’ land, Duncan swore to ‘harmlessly’ mess with both the colonists and the British by pranking them in unconventional ways (e.g. placing small pumpkins on their lawns, releasing flocks of geese on their land, etc.).

His motto, ‘confuse, don’t abuse’ is something that he lives by.

Trivia-

-He wasn’t born in the Netherlands or in the American colonies. In fact, he was born on a boat on the ocean right smack in between the two.

-The feather in his hat also works as a pen, but it’s quite useless unless there’s ink and paper around.

-He has a mild fear of horses “because they’re unpredictable“.  He can ride one, but would prefer walking or any other form of transportation.
