Background
Michiru was born in France, but since her father preferred talking Japanese to her and he was at home with her most of the time while her mother was working, she grew up bilingually in French and Japanese. Until she was seven years old, the little family would often move houses near the capital, following her mother's jobs and Michiru changed kindergartens and elementary schools several times.
They later moved to her father's home country Japan where she saw lots of big cities, but it isn't until she's at the age to enter Middle School that they move to Sendai in the Miyagi region in Japan and that she gets to stay in one place for a longer period. She was always quick to make friends, so she never really minded, but it was also a nice change to actually get to know the friends she made. [.....]
When she was 14, her mother went to get a job in Tokyo without Michiru and her dad, because she didn't want the girl to have to get used to yet another environment and at least let her finish Middle School before doing so. (IN PROGRESS)

Statistics
Michiru had a lot of setting training in Middle School and she jumped in occasionally when the main setter was out, especially in her last year of Middle School. She still tried to focus on her libero skills, such as receiving and block-follow and she made sure she practised jumping from behind the 10 foot line and tossing mid air. Aside from that her serving skills are pretty decent, too, but she'd be basically useless at blocks and spikes if she had to do them. (IN PROGRESS)

Michiru would totally run late on her first day of High School, so she's missed the entrance ceremony and introduction. So while she ran around, trying to find her classroom, she almost literally bumped into Kenma, if his best friend - whose name she later found out was Kuroo - hadn't grabbed the second year's shirt and pulled the unattentive gamer out of her way. They were both on their way to the volleyball club, so she made use of that opportunity to ask them where the clubrooms and gyms were. Although it was mostly only Kuroo who did the talk, she still got stuck in a conversation with them and ended up confusing the descriptions for the girls' volleyball club and the boys'.
So when she came to look at the gym after class, she found herself in front of Kenma again. He was being late for volleyball practise - or was he attempting to ditch it? - either way she pulled him along and dumped him along to dump him in front of his captain before she left to look for her own club room. Ever since then, she made it her duty to make sure Kenma goes to practise and she would usually try to make up time to watch, too. As she thus spends a lot of time with the rest of the team, she gets to go with them on official matches and after-practise-dinners, as she befriends them.
One day she tagged along on Kuroo and Kenma's way home and when she said she finished that new game which Kenma had been struggling with for the whole week, Kuroo invited her into Kenma's house. They ended up spending the whole evening beating the game and the two gentlemen had to accompany her home. From that day on, Michiru made it her habit to casually tag along with the two on their way home and spend her afternoons with them. (IN PROGRESS)

"Yamaguchi-kun" - "Michiru"
She met Yamaguchi in Middle School, when he and Tsukishima met up for lunch break and someone, unintentionally or not, shoved him, so he tripped and fell. Before Tsukishima could say anything, Michiru did. Sternly, she made the shover apologize to Yamaguchi and her heart skipped a beat when he thanked her with those gentle eyes of his, until Tsukishima ruined the mood. As she kept seeing him every day, every free minute she spent with Tsukishima to be exact, she realizes that the way she feels about the two boys is not the same. Being with Yamaguchi would sometimes make her face heat up and she would stumble over her own words while she talked even more and faster than she usually did. The most comforting thing about it, was probably that he was completely oblivious to all this and although she desperately wanted to tell him about her feelings, that is the one thing she never had the proper opportunity to carelessly blurt out.
Over time, her friendship with Yamaguchi and Tsukishima, too, then became too precious to her to risk it, so she ends up never telling him about this first crush. They still keep in touch even when she moved to Tokyo.

Michiru got into into Tsukishima's class in Middle School a few weeks into the first semester as a transfer student and sat on the free desk in the back of the room at first. She was quick to point out that she couldn't see to the front of the class because Tsukishima sat right in front of her and they ended up having to switch places. Although he wouldn't stop teasing her about this, she was happy about any interaction that would result in her making new friends, so poor Tsukishima was stuck with her overenergetic and enthusiastic personality since then. Aside from bickering with each other, she would sometimes ask him for advice on what places Yamaguchi liked, so she could go with him or when she wanted to give him something for his birthday. But in the end, it was usually the three of them that spent the day she had chosen for her date together.

While she's had amazing senpai for setting in Middle School, Michiru never had the opportunity to be trained by a libero. So when she got to train with Morisuke, she made sure to give her best at all of his lessons and absorb all the techniques he taught her. (IN PROGRESS)

Trivia
- Current concern: Everyone's too tall and she hasn't grown even a centimeter this year.
- Michiru's middle name is Cecile, but only her mother calls her that. Her mother is French, her father is Japanese. She's a papa child. Even as an only child, she is great with kids and she wishes she had younger siblings. Her father is allergic to most animal hair and so she can't own any pets even though she adores them.
- She loves doing other people's hair, but she also likes it when her hair is styled by others. She herself has naturally curly hair in the morning which turn into soft waves over the day. She can often be seen twirling it when she's concentrating.
- She has delicate baby skin and gets sunburnt easily.
- She is basically ambidextrous with a slight preference of her left hand, as she used to be only left-handed as a kid.
- She has a hard time playing other sports besides volleyball.
- She's a total chatterbox that would only shut up if she's told to, she even talks in her sleep. But stargazing is one of the few things that can also shut her down.
- She sprinkles her sentences with a slight French accent and occasional French words.
