Captain of the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything Red Coursers
Personality: Proud, Fierce, Stoic, Image-conscious, Committed to Her Aesthetic
Likes: Being In Charge, Pirate Aesthetics, The Color Red, The Ocean, Craft Fairs, Her Family
Dislikes: Being Told She's not a Real Pirate, Public Displays of Affection, Ruben
Design Notes:
- Lean, muscular build with a bit of a saggy belly
- Mane and tufts are super soft and silky
- Prominent chin scruff
- "Stick" style antennae resemble branching red seaweed (like Gelidium or Gracilaria)
- Paw pads match nose
- Usually wears a pewter labrys pendant (pls draw her with it)
Character Notes:
- What she wants everyone to think she is: a ruthless and infamous pirate captain.
- What she actually is: a slightly inept sailor and occasional petty criminal who spends a lot of time at craft fairs with her wife.
- She loves her family and crew more than anything. Yes, even more than her AestheticTM. The easiest way to offend Dasya is by insulting her loved ones -- only she's allowed to do that!
- She carries a knife, but it's purely for show. She's never hurt anyone more sapient than a fish with it.
- She loves a good sea shanty! And will be gravely offended if you don't sing along with her.
- For most of her life she didn't think she liked kids... now she has a kitten of her own and a young teen on her crew and she adores them both (not that she would admit that to strangers or acquaintances, of course).
- Identified as a trans man for several years when she was younger but then decided butch woman was a better identity fit. Now she exists in a nebulous "not quite trans but not quite cis either" identity pocket and she's okay with that. She's not ashamed of her past and doesn't consider transitioning a mistake, just a step along her gender journey.
