Vinny

Vinny works for the Atonement Bureau, having been gently informed in their previous incarnation that they were bleeding greed and vanity and would have a hard road ahead of them to achieve balance again. It's mere days after receiving the letter that rich, beautiful tuxedo-cat Vinny reincarnates and watches their family tear themselves up over inheriting their mansion, sports cars, and other expensive possessions.

Unfortunately for Vinny, due to having chosen reincarnation and only working off their existing knowledge as a bajillionaire, they're not very street-smart. They've been set up in a fairly shitty apartment by the Bureau with the idea that they'll earn some money and move to somewhere nicer via their own hard work, but between a neighbor regularly stealing their paychecks, the exhaustion destitution brings, and a paranoia of being greedy by asking for help, Vinny just remains tired, miserable, and hungry.

Vinny is extremely depressed, terribly nervous, and their anxiety is out the roof, so really they're constantly an absolute mess. They readily apologize for anything that might be even slightly their fault and have no self-confidence to speak of. They're so, so lonely and affection starved but they struggle not to second-guess whether others are lying to them "just to make them feel better" when it involves anything positive.
