Shestiugolnik (Mellonia)

Upbeat, energetic, and creative, Mellonia is a bright beacon for all members of the Hive. The smile on his face never seems to leave, though he never gives off an air of being suffocating. A strong, sensible nature is the undercurrent underneath most of his decisions, and anyone who spends time with him quickly becomes attuned to the fact that he's just plainly an optimist.

He was the first inductee into the Hive - indeed, the reason it exists at all - after Sessy encouraged him to leave an abusive relationship. He credits much of his current attitude to Sessy's interference and regularly speaks about the positivity Sessy has brought into his life - both personally and as a whole organization.

Mellonia handles nearly as much press and work as Sessy does, filling in for him whenever he's in an urgent meeting and making decisions for the Hive as a whole. His word is deeply trusted, both as a byproduct of being the second-most important Hive member, and his general good decision-making. He attributes the later to strong intuition.

His work means he often doesn't have much time for meaningful friendships, but he does consider Sessy to be akin to his best friend. Ideally, he'd like to be able to be more emotional support towards other bees - a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent towards, but business and politics keeps him away.

There are other Mellonias in the HIve that he regards with varying levels of familiarity. He, personally, is from Timeline KJ-204. His proper title is 'Potnia', to differentiate him from the others, but he likes it when people get comfortable enough to call him Melon.
