About
A Fragment given human form in a mystical trade, Lash was bound to a royal line and used as a pawn for decades, several key traits torn from her to assure her loyalty. She is watchful at all times, a trait born of practice and self-preservation. Back to the wall, exits in her sights, she inspects all new persons for weakness. Though not actively critical of others, she is aware of short-comings for possible exploitation.
Lash slowly works towards a future where she is the master of her own being, and can be free to pursue her own future. In the past, she had her 'passion' stripped from her and though she is well on her way to regaining it, shes lost much on the journey.
Character
Lash is calm, patient, and unless directly aggressed upon or commanded to by one of the royal line, will not act out against another being or creature.
⬥ One of her few displays of emotion or attachment to situations is her biting wit. Used to draw attention away from herself and onto the target, and also a helpful tool in keeping her alone.
⬥ "And if I choose the light instead?"
⬥ Her greatest fear is losing so much of herself that she will be unable to function.
⬥ Although careful to keep it hidden, she knows little of affectionate or friendly relationships. She never believes she could have one for herself, but still thinks it looks very pleasant. Anything that inspires happiness in others, she recognizes as something she will not have.
⬥ Tying into all other traits, and her lack of self-worth, Lash is used to having anything she showed interest in taken away as punishment and is much more likely to push people and opportunities away because she doesn't think she deserves them or would ruin them somehow.
⬥ “One day this will mean nothing. All the pieces simply crumble if you take the board away.”
⬥ Lash is entirely motivated by outside influence, used to having her wants and needs decided for her by others. Internally, she is biding her time until she can make her own decisions for her future.
⬥ She is interested in those who show passion on a subject and will give them a little more of her time, though will cut it short if it proves uninteresting to her.
⬥ Often attempts crafts or hobbies but gives them up quickly when they are not mastered immediately.

Design Notes
⬥ Her tattoos cover a majority of her body and can bleed into goo or shadows as needed.
⬥ The chain at her waist is an ornamental marker of her enslavement to Lady Seine and her house. She can wield it as a weapon, but it cannot leave her person.
⬥ Her hair can be in any style but the ends must be cut flat/straight.
⬥ Her main outfit is shorts/bra with a cloak over the top.
⬥ Her middle fingers are black to the nail on the top portion.

Story
Fragment
As a Fragment, she has the ability to split her sentience into parts, provided she offers an important part of herself to power it. They will appear as she does, and carry her personality, though some may find one of their own based on their root trait. She must always sacrifice a trait or sense to create a Splinter, be it 'ticklishness' or 'common sense', etc. That new fragment of her will be possessed of all of her memories and a dulled amount of her power, and be given to fits of the attribute it was created by. Should she wish to retrieve that part of her, she need only to come in contact with it again, and she will regain the trait and the power. But should the Splinter be killed in some fashion, the power and attribute will be lost to her forever.
Depending on the importance of the trait she has sacrificed, the Splinter will grow in power. Giving up "ticklishness" might only allow her a shadow copy, while offering "sight" will create a more substantial image that can operate independently from her
Present
Within Illvus, Lash is considered a servant of Lady Siene and her house. Outwardly she is presented as a daughter, but many know the truth of her birth. Among other Fragments she is considered an oddity for not having warped her element, and someone of great power for mastering it.

Duplicitous Parent
The matriarch of House Trechion, she cares for little beyond power. She sacrificed her own daughter to give the Fragment Lash a host body into her world, hoping to use her to dismantle and overthrow the other houses in her pursuit of political supremacy. She is not to be underestimated.

An avid collector of all things powerful and interesting, the Sin Fragment notices that Lash is both of those. He has long been the puppeteer in private plots for power and gain, but his endgame is unclear.

Unwanted Ally
The Death Fragment was given form thanks to a rebellious plot to take down the ruling houses of Illvus and beyond, Maldectus has offered time and time again to free Lash if she would only join him in his quest. He believes in victory through chaos, and will eventually tire of offering peace when he could easily win a war.
