- Grown up neglected and in a extremely competitive environment, Arigh has learned that he has only himself to depend on. Long years of sibling rivalry and his father's favouritism taught him to lie low and only bite when it will hurt the most.
- This has fostered in him a passive aggressive and calculating personality. He is used to always planning a few steps ahead, lurking in the shadows untill the perfect timing to make the kill.
- Although ruthless in achieving his goals, in his daily life Arigh is unexpectedly airheaded and careless. He has been caught getting on the wrong train, cutting himself while cooking and fumbling about looking for things numerous times. In his words, he could careless about mundane everyday happenings and trivial things like that but truth be told he is just too embrassed to admit to being clumsy.
- As calculating as he is, Arigh is also possessive. Being in control of his favourites gives him a sense of false security that he can't help indulging in. As much as he likes to stay distant to others deep down inside he longs for friendships.
Arigh came from the scorching plains in the east. He was the result of a political wedding. His mother did not love his father andb his father relying on the considerable wealth he had changed wives like changing clothing. Arigh was the 7th son born into the household. His mother left right after he was born, news arrived later from his family friends that she had married her first love and was starting a new family.
Growing up Arigh was deprived of nothing material. His father doesn't lack the money to feed another mouth. Life in the big family however was not easy. Relationship was complicated and the children in the family quickly formed groups and alliances to gain favor in the eyes of their father hoping to inherit his wealth one day.
The hierarchy of status between the kids were decided upon the status of the mother. If the mother was from a wealthy or influential background her child would be respected. If the mother was a beauty her child would be favoured. Arigh, who had no mother to back him up was neither respected nor favoured. He was the wild kid whom anyone could trample on. From the moment Arigh realized this he has set his eyes on the pinnicle of the house, one day it shall be him who will sit on the highest seat of the house.
The way children argue are always rough. It's either taking the blame for something he had not done, being locked out while it snowed or having his meals thrown out. All of this Arigh endured. He silently told himself that all these mishaps shall one day be paid for. One day when he has become strong enough.
Among those siblings there were also ones that watched from the sidelines. Arslan, Arigh's 9th brother was such an sibling. Arigh didn't favour Arslan much either, he didn't like the dull lifeless look in his eyes. But as long as Arslan isn't an obsticle in his path Arigh intend to not get involved with him.
But everything changed on that day...
