CHARACTER NOTES:
- Uses he/him/his pronouns. Considers himself a guy, and is adamant about counting as a human.
- Has a somewhat irreverent but generally upbeat, optimistic and goofy attitude.
- Was built about 5 years ago, but at his story's present, he has memory dating back around 20 years.
- A little cartoonish by nature, his body isn't meant to make 100% sense. If drawing him, use your artistic license as much as you please.
- Technically able to make dramatic body modifications, but really only switches out the hands when he needs/wants to.

STORY:
Chips, or as his creator Operator called him, Angel, is a robot that was built as an alternative to flesh-and-blood actors. This automaton was far from autonomous, however, and relied heavily on his Operator's instruction to react accordingly to real time actions and dialogue. Still, with enough preparation and instruction, his creator felt that Angel made a worthwhile addition to any project. However, he struggled to get anybody on board, and though he stubbornly kept pushing, the rejection hurt him deeply. It's as if he felt the robot was an extension of his own self...
Of course, he was doomed from the start. After dragging forth for multiple years, his creator was finally fired from his tenuous theatre company contract, an event from which he did not react well towards. In the end, Chips is all that's left of him, a fact that the robot treasures deeply.
After suddenly gaining sentience, Chips gives himself a new name, and works to create a life for himself beyond what his creator and the people he attempted to appeal to could imagine. Despite everything, it's rare to see him without a smile.
