Paris Lavellan's Links
Paris feels bad that the clan conspired against her. She can't be trusted with the truth just yet, but is stings to know that she thinks he doesn't like her. She'd make a fine leader... they just needed to get her away from the Keeper. She's a risk- but he has no intent on hurting her. Not when she could potentially be persuaded to join them... when the time is right. He knows how Solas feels about her, and he hopes it works out for them. She doesn't even know just how much she changes Solas for the better.
Paris has so much going for him. Clanmates literally thought he'd make a better Keeper than her, and he's not even a mage! And he's so neutral about it all... It doesn't help that he seems to know something she doesn't. What kind of secret reason was there for sending a simple hunter along with her to join the Inquisition?
He wonders if Kes knows how far he'd be willing to betray his own ideals for him. It's foolish to catch feelings for him- he's one of the few people who holds the power that could seriously threaten--- well, he's a powerful person. Perhaps one of the most powerful in Thedas right now. But is it so impossible to hope that his gaze would eventually land on him and see him as more than just Paris?
Paris a trusted advisor. Kes goes to him because of his calm nature- an increasingly difficult thing to find during the nearing apocalypse. He enjoys his company, but Paris isn't really the type of person he'd want to get serious with. He doesn't want to risk their friendship- or whatever they have right now- by pushing romance.
