Chieko is a Japanese blader and Takao Kinomiya's childhood friend, introduced after G-Revolution. A calm, collected and seemingly emontionless girl with a strong connection with spirits and the spiritual world. 

At first appearing as the mysterious Lady Kitsune, Chieko won the selection tournament and assured herself a place in the BBA Team to represent Japan in the upcoming Beyblade World Tournament.

Appearance

Chieko is a young slim woman, with pale skin that is usually assumed as "fragile" because of her appearance, however she's actually agile and fast. She has amethyst colored eyes and straight ebony black hair that is long in the front and short in the back, which she wears tied in the back with a white ribbon.

Her usual outfit is a red coat with black sleeves, a black tie, and a black spandex underneath. She also wears a black belt where she keeps her beyblade launcher on the back. 

On her home, she wears  a traditional Miko outfit, which consists on a red hakama, a white kosode, a pair of tabi and zori sandals. She also wears casual clothing at home when she's not doing chores at her house's temple. 

Chieko really enjoys to wear kimono and she owns a collection of them, however she doesn't wear them all the time, she mostly wears regular clothes like most of people. Her clothing style is mostly warm kind of clothing, she doesn't enjoy wearing too revealing clothes nor high heels, and enjoys to wear scarfs, hoodies, leggins and (not too short) skirts.

Background

Chieko grew up in the ancient temple of the Harada family, she is a childhood friend of Takao Kinomiya. They had some kind of forced friendship since her grandparents are very good friends, but Takao was not very fond of her and on the contrary is scared of her because of her tendency to scare him with ghost stories, which sorta traumatized him.

Because of the fact she grew up in a very old temple and because of her liking for paranormal, she was bullied when she was a kid and often called "ghost girl". She spent most of her childhood alone only with the company of her grandmother Tsubame, as her parents where rarely at home and she didn't have any friends because the other children were afraid of her. The other kids rejected and ostracized her, and created rumors about her, such as how she supposedly can "curse" people. Because of this, she grew tired of people and decided she didn't need anybody and prefered to remain alone. 

One day though, she made her first real friend, Yovanska Kozlova, a Russian girl that moved to Japan because of her father's job. Yovanska, also known as "Yovi" was the first person who showed a genuine interest and desire to befriend Chieko; she likes Chieko for who she is and finds her likings to be interesting. Yovi was the one that introduced Chieko to Beyblade and they always trained together until the day Yovi had to move from Japan to Indonesia, they made a promise though: they will meet again someday and won't stop being best friends no matter the distance.

Chieko kept practicing Beyblade on her own and watched every single tournament to study the skills of world class bladers; with her hard work and dedication she became a very skilled blader. Chieko's new goal was to take part in a tournament and become a member of Japan's team, she wanted to leave her mark in the Beyblade world and, also, someday find Yovi in a tournament and fulfill their promise.

Some time later, before she participated in any tournament, she found an ancient fox statue in an old area of the temple; inside this was the ancient deity Inari, who has been protecting the Harada family for centuries. This spirit chose Chieko as her new master as she recognized her balanced spirit, which is necessary to be her owner, Inari also saw a bit of her very fist master on Chieko. In exchange for becoming Inari's new master, Chieko has to offer her help in return to Inari to purify an increasing evil when the time comes.

When the next World Tournament was a close, and the selection tournament started, Chieko decided to hide her identity wearing a fox mask and taking the name Lady Kitsune (name that later became her Blader Nickname), as she didn't want Takao to recognize her and run from her. She achieves her goal and won herself a place as a new member of Japan's team and Takao's new partner; it is at that moment when she reveals her identity to Takao and the rest of the team, and Takao of course is not very happy to have his scary childhood friend as his partner. And here's where Chieko's adventures on the World Tournament begin.

Personality

Chieko is a rather serious girl, oftenly labeled by everyone else as "emotionless", because of her extremely calm and stoic attitude. She has a sharp tongue and always speaks with honesty as she strongly detests hypocrisy and falsity in general; even if her honesty most of the time doesn't have ill intentions, she doesn't really care if she offends others with the truth or not. She's very fond of traditions and dislikes when people doesn't have proper manners. She's also a very focused person, specially when it comes to Beyblade, as she's very passionate about the sport.

She doesn't socialize much, not because she's shy, but because she doesn't like people much; she feels everybody is "just the same" and dislikes when people stop being true to themselves just to fit in society. Most of the time she prefers to be alone, she doesn't like attachments as she has a hard time dealing with betrayal, but that doesn't mean is impossible to befriend her, thought is not an easy task. Despite her asocial and cold personality, she's a kind a person; her cold exterior hides a very sensitive and lonely person that desires to be understood.

Chieko oftenly enjoys to scare people with the ghosts stories she's very fond of, sometimes she uses this to get rid of undesired people. This habit of scaring people can also be seen as some kind of "test"; if someone who wants to befriend her does not run away because of her scary stories, with the pass of the time she may give that person a chance and let them get a little close to her.

Likes

• Coffee. She really likes coffe and can oftenly be seen drinking it.

• Horror and anything paranormal. She really loves anything revolving horror and the paranormal, her favorite activity, besides beyblade, is to read horror books of any kind. She also loves to visit cursed places and her knowledge of urban legends and mythological monsters is very vast. 

• Handmade crafts. She really likes to collect handmade crafts, she has several stuffs of this kind like little wood sculptures, paintings, etc. She specially loves the spooky looking ones.

• Masks. She has a collection of several types of masks, like kabuki type of masks, youkai masks and also masks from other countries' cultures.

• Scaring people. She loves to scare people, strangers and aquantices alike, with the horror stories and urban legends she adores, sometimes she even make up fake ghost stories to see people's reaction or to simply drive them away. 

Dislikes

• Winter. Chieko doesn't like cold climates at all as she's very sensitive to the cold, so during winter you can see her wearing layers and layers of clothing along with a slightly irritated expression.

• Too small spaces. Spaces or rooms that are way too small make her feel uncomfortable as she has a slight claustrophobia.

• Socializing. Chieko doesn't like to socialize as she most of the time doesn't like people because of their hipocrisy, with the exception of her best friend Yovi and later Boris, she prefers to be alone. Since she was bullied as a kid and completely ostracized as a teenager, she doesn't enjoy at all to be around people of her age group.

• Complainers. She really hates people who constantly complain about everything and everyone, and instead create troubles or are bothersome.

• Mob mentality. Probably one of the things she hates the most. She really despises those who are easily influenced and that don't remain royal to themselves or their beliefs.

Inari MS (Metal Saint)

Chieko's current beyblade, part of the Hard Metal System series, the previous version of her Beyblade was "Holy Inari".

Inari MS is a balance type Beyblade that specilizes on speed and agility, it also has a pretty decent endurance and average defense and attack. This Beyblade contains the spirit of the ancient fox deity Inari, which has been protecting the Harada family for centuries and has recognized Chieko as her new master because of her balanced spirit. Inari has promised to serve Chieko and help her to reach her goals as long as Chieko in return helps her to purify an increasing evil when the time comes. 

Battle Style

The most notorious thing about Chieko's beyblade style is her speed. Since her defense and attack power are not too high she must be really fast to avoid her opponent's attacks and so serious damages. She's really patient and she doesn't attack until she completely analizes her opponent's style; when she finds their weak points and comes with a strategy is when she makes her move. Despite her attack power being not too high, that doesn't stop her to come with lethal attacks.

Special Move

Divine Call is her special move. Chieko performs some kind of Kagura dance with her fan-like launcher to summon her bitbeast. Inari then stands still absorbing spiritual power and proceeds to perform some kind of dance while she attacks the enemy dancing to destabilize them, after that she fires all the power she has been charging into a light beam while she growls. This attack is able to purify evil energies and evil Bitbeasts.

Other Key Moves

"Killing Stone" or "Sessho-Seki" : A technique that increases the attack power for a moment. The beyblade concentrates a big amount of power, that is reflected as white flames, and then attacks the opponent. This attack is really lethal and can cause serious damage, it can even cause damages on Inari MS if it isn't used carefully.

Trivia:

• Chieko is a character that was created around 2011. Her fan-story and all the aspects about her character were developed around 2012-2013.

• She adores Tsuki Amano, she's her favorite singer. Her favorite song by her is Kurenai.

• The red spider lily is her favorite flower.

• Her very first friend was a ghost girl called Yuka. She died 30 years before Chieko's time, she was hit by a car.

• Chieko's house is haunted by 3 ghosts:
  • The ghost of an old man, whose name is unknown (Chieko calls him "The Grandpa"), that probably lived in the house 200 years ago. He's grumpy and complains a lot, he also doesn't like strangers on the house too much. Usually appears on one of the bathrooms, the guest's room and occasionally on the living room. He appears mostly at night, but sometimes can appear in the day too, not all the time though.
  • The ghost of a little mute girl that appears around 1 a.m on the yard. Obviously she never says anything, she just stays on the yard all night with a melancholic expression. She has the appearance of a girl from the Edo period. If you're around the place, she won't stop staring at you.
  • The ghost of a fancy lady with a peculiar laughter. She's nice and laughs mostly about everything. Only appears at night and she usually argues with The Grandpa.

• As a kid, Chieko really liked the game "Kagome, Kagome", but sadly she never had any friends to play with; when she wanted to play the game with other kids, they always rejected her, and the only one time she thought the kids would play with her, they abandoned her as soon as they finished to sing the song. She used to sing the song to herself, when she was alone; when she met Yovi she taught her the song and they usually sang it together.

• On Chieko's story, the bladers that own a bitbeast can easily see ghosts as they're more or less the same thing. Bitbeast owners have more sensibility (spiritually talking) than a common person.
