♫  Callous, vain, pretentious  ♫

A clever albeit arrogant boy, who is likely to insult you before promptly blowing smoke in your face.

Max is a very pale boy, and has shiny platinum blond hair- which he is incredibly proud of, combing it daily. He has a slim, short nose, big pale blue eyes, a notably big forehead, and lips often adorned with a cigarette. He tends to wear "nice" clothing even outside of school- his usual get up is a brown wool vest over a stark white dress shirt, a dark grey tie, grey shorts, grey wool socks, and black Derbies. He is of average height for his age, being 5'0".

Max is an incredibly smart boy, a constant braggart... and quite a bully. Arrogant and rude to just about anyone he believes he can boss around, Max uses his lingual talents to get whatever he wants. Though the youngest of the Turpen brothers, Max always seems to be the head honcho, with little regard or guilt doing what he believes is right. But when it comes to the way he behaves around teachers and adults, you may as well think Max is a little angel who can do no wrong.

Max' story takes place in modern-day Tartarus, a major global city in Hell equivalent to the likes of New York City or London here on Earth.

Max, being the youngest of his brothers, has a certain penitence for being both a suck-up and a troublemaker. He was very coddled by his parents, and tries to make himself seem the most well-behaved... though things aren't always what they seem. In reality, Max is just greedy and wants all the attention and praise he can get.

Max was born a small but healthy baby. The Turpens were slightly taken aback when discovering that Max' eyes were bright blue, and his hair grew in bright blond- very unlike their own features, no less his brothers'. Family and friends of the Turpens thought it was a sign of a "perfect baby", and thusly the Turpens took especially good care of young Max, thinking he had to be kept in the same healthy state. Vinnie and Greg, already eight and four respectively, were relatively nice to Max, even if the blond baby took up most of their parents' affections. As well, Max was a bit of a violent child. He was no stranger to biting his brothers and parents once his teeth grew in.

Max attends a private boy's school called Notre Capra. He is generally a good student and particularly excels in history. While his grades are good (and his parents are particularity proud of this fact), Max spends much of his time sucking up to the teachers and vying for popularity, even if that includes bullying the other boys.

Max took up singing when he was around seven. When Vinnie got an electric guitar for his fifteenth birthday and Greg got a drum kit on his eleventh, the only logical thing for Max to do was join in the fun. Although Max has had some experience singing in school choir as a tenor, his "punk" style of singing can only be described as a din.

As a denizen of Hell, where all citizens have a certain "oddity" about them, Max' is a nullification of any kind of unhealthy flavour, including junk food, coffee, sugar, and even tobacco. Since he has no taste for junk food, he barely ever eats it. But, to use his oddity for some advantage, he developed an addiction to cigarettes very early on. He has been smoking from around the age he started to perform with his brothers to look "extra cool"... even though he never even feels the effect or taste of the tobacco he smokes. He openly smokes around everyone, and since this is Hell, no-one ever seems to mind or care. Max even buys them himself with funds from his gigs!
