Summary
⚜  Gentle, honest, modest  ⚜
A placid, soft-spoken teenage king who'd rather go out hunting than do his royal duties.
Appearance
Louis, much like his great-grandfather Louis XIV, is a handsome young man with a head of curly dark hair. He has an oval shaped face, big round brown eyes, and a kind pair of small lips. Thanks to a life in royalty, he is on the fuller side, with round blushed cheeks and soft skin. Louis has what would be considered "dancer's legs"- long, slender, and firm- much like his crown's predecessor. Being the King, he tends to wear perfectly fitted and elaborately decorated coats and vestements, fine breeches, and silk stockings along with heeled shoes. Louis is often seen wearing blue. He prefers not to wear wigs, but does so for things like royal duties, outings, and while posing for paintings. He is 5'6".
Personality
Although this young man holds the throne of the entirety of France, Louis isn't all what he seems. A shy and soft-spoken young man, Louis doesn't quite have the power and force that one would expect of a king. He can be timid and doesn't like having to "make the first move" during conversation, much preferring to listen. He is rather modest and doesn't like relying on his own knowledge and ideas all the time. Although he has a gentle soul, he doesn't hold back from a touch of sass and letting people know exactly when people are doing or saying things incorrectly. He can also be somewhat impatient, and doesn't like being addressed rudely or mocked. He is often preoccupied with his own affairs and doesn't pay much mind to others- some would describe him as rather secretive in this way. He likes to spend his days lounging or studying, rather than ordering others around.

Story
Louis' story takes place in the Palace of Versailles, France in 1726. Though he is the king of France, Louis is ill-prepared for overseeing the kingdom at the ripe young age of sixteen, as is simultaneously bored and perplexed by the royal life. Perhaps things will get more exciting after coming into contact with the other side of the coin?

Relationships
Marlon de la Mort
A recent acquaintance of Louis'. Marlon's smuggler-turned-privateer father was a great friend Louis' grandfather. Thus, Louis was thrilled to meet Marlon himself, though their meeting was initially on uncertain, awkward terms; after all, a privateer and a king are an incredibly unlikely pair, even if Louis' grandfather thought otherwise. As time goes on, Louis finds Marlon more appealing as a friend, and gradually trusts him with all his secrets and ideals, likely since Marlon is one of the few intelligent people who is similar in age. Marlon's adventures also provide excitement to Louis, who starves for a life outside of kinghood.
Marie Leszczyńska
Louis' wife. Louis gets along with her just fine, but sees her as less of a romantic partner and more of a political partner... with whom he expects to have an heir to the throne.
Cardinal de Fleury
Louis' advisor. Louis trusts him completely, and puts all his good faith in him. Louis has no issues going to de Fleury with his problems and depends on de Fleury for good advice, whether it be political or personal.
