Milly is a 25 year old web designer who's always busy and stays cooped up in her house for days at a time. She's a known workaholic who often forgets to eat when she's focused, so her friends regularly come over with food and remind her to get some fresh air. However, Milly doesn't like to take it easy. Her life motto is basically, "work hard, rest later" so it's rare for her to go on vacations. However, that changes when she discovers a huge family secret. Milly actually comes from a family of witches, and she's the last in their bloodline who possesses magic. She eventually travels to Europe to finish something her ancestors could not.
Along the way, Milly discovers a supernatural world that she had never been aware of before. Angels and demons exist, and Milly gets involved in something much bigger than she could've ever expected.

Story
Milly lives by herself in California and works as a successful web designer. She’s constantly working and doesn’t like taking vacations because she prioritizes earning and saving money for her future. Her parents run a successful real estate business, but Milly has no plans to inherit it from them. She wants to branch out and do her own thing, mainly because she doesn’t want to associate with her parents. Her brutal work ethic puts a strain on her social life, so Milly only has a few people that she calls friends. They worry about her health, but Milly doesn’t really listen to them. Her monotonous life is only changed when Milly gets a phone call informing her that her grandmother has fallen ill. It was an illness that no doctor had ever seen before, and they predicted that Milly’s grandmother had less than a year to live. Milly was shocked, and immediately went to see her grandmother. Out of all of her relatives, her grandmother was the only person Milly considered close family. When she came to her grandmother's side, she found out a long hidden family secret. Apparently, the women in their family had been placed under a powerful curse. A curse that slowly kills them sooner and sooner as their family loses magic over the years.
Apparently, one of their ancestors was a witch who had incurred the wrath of a powerful demon after sealing him away 300 years ago. The demon's curse was so potent, that it could only be removed by killing the demon himself. Milly could not believe it, so her grandmother cast a magic spell that made her float for a few seconds. Finally convinced, Milly promised her grandmother that she would break the family curse no matter the cost, but her grandmother was worried. She then brought out a family heirloom that had been passed down for many generations. It was a simple blue bracelet, the one rumored to have belonged to the witch who sealed the demon away. Her grandmother told Milly that if she could unlock the bracelet's magic, she might stand a chance at killing the demon. But if she couldn't, then she needed to give up her pursuit immediately because the demon would surely kill her. Milly understood, so she decided to focus her efforts on learning the bracelet's secrets. But being the impatient person she was, she did her own research on the demon's whereabouts and quickly made plans to head to Europe. She reasoned that it would be best to see what she was up against first.

Botis
Botis was the demon who cursed Milly's bloodline to begin with. He's a very bitter individual who wanted to kill Milly when they first met. But thanks to her bracelet, Botis is unable to touch her. As Milly tried time and time again to cast magic on him, Botis grew frustrated at her lack of magical prowess. He eventually got so fed up that he decided to teach Milly magic instead since she obviously couldn't teach herself. This began a strange teacher-student relationship even though they were still enemies. As time progressed and they spent more time together, their relationship got even more complicated. Now, they don't know what to call each other.
Father Noah
Noah is a priest that was tasked by his clergy to exorcise Botis. He met Milly by chance because she interrupted one of his rituals. It's made apparent early on that Noah is not strong enough to exorcise Botis, but he doesn't give up. Milly decides not to tell him that she's a witch and keeps her magic practice a secret. Besides that, they get along very well and Milly supports him on his endeavours.
Leraje
Leraje is an incubus in disguise who lives in the town Milly is staying in. She discovered his true identity pretty quickly, but didn't expose him since he seemed pretty harmless. Leraje was thankful for it, and makes small talk with Milly from time to time. He even helped her find spells that were effective on demons because he also wasn't fond of Botis's presence in their town.
Layla
Layla is the cousin Milly is staying with on her "vacation" in England. She's the only other family member that Milly can tolerate since she sees her like a younger sister. Layla was the one who showed Milly around England and unknowingly led her to the house Botis was sealed in. Layla has no magical ability, nor does she know that their family is descended from witches. To keep her safe, Milly doesn't tell her the truth and tries her best to keep magic and demons away from her.
Emma
Emma is Milly's ancestor who sealed Botis away 300 years ago. She's a very powerful witch who enchanted part of her soul into her bracelet before she died. With the bracelet, Emma is able to talk to Milly and teach her magic from long ago. She's a wise mentor whom Milly respects, but Milly can't help but feel intimidated around her.
Samael
Milly first met Samael during a festival the town was having. He was disguised as a human, and Milly was quite charmed by him. But when Botis told her who he actually was, she was shocked. Samael seems to have a strange interest in Milly, and Botis is concerned by it. He tells her to always keep her guard up around him, and to never make a deal with him.
