A leading figure in the Aether-Naturalist Organization known as the Wayfarers and Ji's mentor, Elder Councilman Alba-Fragum (he prefers "Father Al") has been training young ones in the noble Wayfaring profession for longer than anyone can remember. Other than that little is known about the man, he shows both human and varanian traits but his heritage and even age are unknown. Rumors circulate the Empagu system that he is nearly 1000 years old, though even modern nanotechnology could not make this possible.
