Past Life

Rats grew up as 'Fandango' alongside his brothers Mango, Tango, and Rango. His youngest brother, Django, was a little kid at the time and they never really got to know each other.

He was never a sweet and friendly kid, but he loved his twin brother, Mango and his Uncle Robert.

Robert was like a father to Rats, he loved him despite his ''flaws'' that his parents would always scold him for. The two were inseparable. Rats spent more time at Robert's home than his own. They went on road trips together, since Robert was in a band, and they got into all kinds of cross-country mischief. Robert was the only one who could keep Rats out of real trouble.

Robert was murdered by a few drunk gang men when Rats was only 16. He saw the whole thing and he was helpless. After that, everything went downhill. He started trying bad things and was always getting into serious trouble. His parents lost patience with him and kicked him out. His already rocky relationship with his brothers was completely ruined after that. He broke all contact with his brothers and never looked back. They never knew what happened to him.

Rats was heartbroken and alone, he had nothing to lose. He searched for the gang members that killed his uncle. Joined their ranks. Killed them all, including their leader. He assumed control of the remaining few that agreed to follow his orders. These people were Bones, Komodo, and his brother Juul. They became his new family and they all trusted each other.

1980's Life

Under Rats' lead, new members were brought into the gang. More safety precautions were put in place to prevent... well to prevent more people like him from joining and killing everybody. One of the new people went by the name of 'Viper'

Rats and Viper bonded quickly, and by 1984 they, and Bones, were in a relationship. They were very close, literal partners in crime. Rats was the leader, the brains. Viper was the hunter and the one you'd have to hold back. Bones was the heart and the muscle. They could take on almost anyone together. They took down more rival gangs and criminals than they cared to keep track of.

By late 1989 Rats and Viper had 4 kids, quadruplets, completely accidental, but loved regardless. Bones was basically a second mother AND father. He loved the boys very much. The kids, Axel, Knox, Octavius, and Reaper, were raised in sewers and old warehouses. Not glamourous, not safe, but they were happy. Their parents spoiled them with all the stolen toys they could get their grubby hands on.

Viper was murdered by a rival gang in 1990. The kids hadn't even learned their first words yet. Her death tore apart Rats and Bones. They wiped out the rivals... but it didn't help. Nothing would. Rats was past his breaking point, and it drove Bones away. He left the gang and was never seen by Rats again.

Left alone to take care of the 4 kids, Rats was never quite the same. He was more careful with what he let his gang members do- in fact, there was a long period when he encouraged them to stay completely underground and away from other rivals. He didn't want to lose anyone else.

As for his kids, he did everything he could to hide his pain from them. He tried to maintain the same amount of love and attention they got before, but he just couldn't do it alone. They understood though... they knew their dad was hurting. They comforted him the best they could. Rats loves his kids more than he's ever loved anyone in his life.

1990's - Present

He raised his kids to be able to take over the gang when he 'retired' if they chose to stay. He put the most pressure on Axel to become the next leader. Though he always told them that they could leave the gang if they ever wanted, he NEVER forced them to stay after they were old enough to be on their own.
