Xerxes is a cantankerous individual equipped with a dry, sarcastic and almost cruel sense of humor. Whilst he maintains a refined manner, he can be extremely blunt in his words and appears to lack any caring qualities resulting in him coming across as insensitive and harsh. He is someone who enjoys fixing things and finds the human mind in all its complexities a great adversary which has birthed a deep fascination with how the human brain works. 

In turn, this passion has led Xerxes to take great pleasure in helping people only to break them again so he can test the breaking point of the human psyche and his own abilities to mend the mind. Although he is typically aloof towards others, he is prone to great periods of depression and outbursts of controlled rage. Truth be told, his attitude stems from a deeply rooted negative outlook and cynical point of view: he sees little salvation for this wretched world and has long lost all hope in humanity. His impulsiveness, sensation seeking, alienating himself from society and compulsive behavior are all indications of someone who’s cursed with an addictive personality.
