alright so her name, clan, and bio were generated by some website that I've long since forgotten

"There is a prophecy fortold of their eventual treachery"

So I couldn't really think of a reason why she'd betray her clan... so the prophecy has a bit of a different meaning.

Instead of intentionally betraying her clan, she only TECHNICALLY does - she finds out about the weird Littledove cult in ShadowClan (that is actually threatening SkyClan now that I think about it so this isn't much of a betrayal) and, because Raggedblaze was singlehandedly trying to stop it, she decides that it's important enough to where she needs to help him. They need to think of a reason for her to join that isn't suspicious as hell so they pretend to be in love and say she's joining to be with him.

Raggedblaze had set it up with Littledove so that it sounds like he had insisted that she join ShadowClan so that she would be saved "when they take over SkyClan". So Dapplepuddle gets inducted into the cult too and they work together to disband it. When it gets outted and disbanded, Dapplepuddle returns to SkyClan.

there may or may not be a subplot where she falls for potentially childhood best friend Hazelstar and it turns out in a massive plot twist that THAT is actually the betrayal because it's more of a betrayal to Dapplestar, who is her father figure, because she desperately wants to leave and join Hazelstar but stays only for Dapplestar
this is pretty much because she's a sona and I LOVE Hazelstar and I also love ThunderClan so. yeah.
ok but hi that doesn't happen.
it SORT OF happens - they fall in love with each other, Dapplepuddle is very hesitant to leave SkyClan, Hazelstar is debating leaving ThunderClan in Antfeather's capable paws but then it comes out that Blackstar is switching clans to be with Antfeather and ThunderClan is shocked and looking to their leader to see how they should react and they're... in such emotional turmoil... he can't bring himself to do it.
Hazelstar telling Dapplepuddle that he's no longer considering joining SkyClan and that she either joins ThunderClan or he's done turns her off. She's a bit shocked by his coldness (he's trying desperately to not give in, so he feels he has to make her join right now while simultaneously distancing himself in case she says no) and she tries to understand or just generally coax out some emotions from him, and he doesn't give them to her. So she tells him off, he realizes what he's done and apologizes, but she's already leaving. How dare he hurt her in some misguided attempt to show her he was serious. So now she's on one-sided bad terms with him. She's forgiving him over time, especially after she starts dating Fallensnow


OH RIGHT her personality-
she's really sweet! Pretty introverted but also super nice. Reacts to sadness by pretending nothing is wrong but also sulking simultaneously - IE "Oh! I'm just really tired, so I'm gonna take a nap over here if that's alright." Probably has mild depression.
