Celyn

-Celyn (Kel-yn), called Kel by nearly everyone who knows him, is Skystorm’s younger brother, and the middle child of all the sibling though his twin sister Liliana would say that him being only a few minutes older than her barely counts.
-Kel and his twin are very close. Lillie, a nickname that almost anyone who has known Liliana for longer than five minutes uses, is the more outgoing of the two of them. She has much more self-confidence than her brother and often drags him into things. Or as he would but it, he had to go along with some stupid plans because someone had to keep her out of trouble.
-The also share a strange, seemingly psychic. Each of the twins seems to know where the other is instinctively, and they always know when the other is hurt. They also seem to have a sense of the other’s emotional state most of the time.
-That is part of the reason that Kel didn’t really speak until he was almost four. Lilie would tell people when he really wanted something, and most of his family seemed to understand him without him using words.
-Celyn is actually very smart, and counts reading as a hobby of his. However he’s not very good with people and is sometimes very awkward. He doesn’t really feel comfortable speaking to others at first, and often sounds slightly cold or aloof when spoken to at first because of his hidden nerves. It makes people think he’s being arrogant, or sometimes creepy. Sometimes people who don’t know him well assume he doesn’t care, when really he cares a great deal He remarkable observant when it comes to others, and often worries about the people he’s closest too.. He’s just not always sure what to do to help them.
-When he gets used to people, he starts to act more like what his family would consider normal. He’s often blunt and straight-forward with people who he’s comfortable with, but will try his best to help.
-He’s a trainee mage but has also been training himself in using a spear as well. His weapon is a sort of magic staff/spear combination, and he’s surprisingly versatile in combat.
-He still very much looks up to his older brother Skystorm, even as a teenager. When he was younger, Skystorm had promised to take him an Lilie to pick berries in a meadow near their house. The bridge that went over a small stream they had to cross had been damaged though. Sky simply pulled out his wand and made rocks rise as stepping stones for them to get across. It stuck in Kel’s head and is the reason he decided to magic in the first place.
-He often times takes things a little too seriously and acts more mature than he has too. He can be remarkably mature at times, even his parents have said that, but sometimes he takes it a little to far. He doesn’t like to admit when he’s scared either.
-He was kind of jealous the first time he met Isa. Skystorm still visited sometimes, but he felt the time he got with his older brother was limited, and now he had to share that time with another person.
-Sky has a habit of gushing about how adorable and cute, and amazing his younger siblings are. Even though twins are around fifteen, most of his friends who haven’t actually met them think he’s talking about much younger siblings.
-Deep in his heart Kel sometimes feels inadequate compared to his older brother and his twin. Both of them have an unconscious self-confidence that he lacks, and are much better at interacting with people. He’s also a much quieter person by nature, and feel awkward trying to force himself match their energy and exuberance.
He also seems them as being much more talented and sure of themselves. Lilie has already decided that she’s going to be a bard, and Kel has no doubt that she’ll become one of the best. Sky’s magical abilities are terrifyingly strong and Sky is equally sure he’ll never match them, so sometimes wonders if studying magic is really worth it.
-Sky will tell people about how Kel used to follow him around when he was much younger, and try to copy him. Like the time when Kel was five and he followed Sky into the library, and attempted to ‘study’ like he was. He didn’t understand a single word in the book he grabbed out of the pile Sky had been looking through, but he still tried until he fell asleep. Kel would deny he did something like that.
-During one of Skystorms visits, Kel wandered over to talk to him about something as Sky was going through his bag searching for souvenirs he had brought. Several of the things he pulled out he told Kel absently were ‘highly magical in nature. Please don’t play with them.’ A rather offended Kel picked up the star shard that Sky had somehow gotten a hold of and was going to say he wasn’t gong to play with it, he was only going to study it, but was cut off by it activating and wisking him off on his own adventure….
