“It’s not what we should do for our clan, but rather the village as a whole. You can’t have one without the other. All the clans in this village are like dye. Without that dye, the village wouldn’t be so unique. Two of the Founding Clan despised each other vehemently, now look at them. They still hate each other, but deep down they know that this is their home. They have to defend that home. That’s how we should all be thinking. No one person is greater than another after all. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.”

About
Yoshi was born in the Aoki clan and has always had an issue with keeping up with his class. He usually spaced out or got lost in his own world. He's been overly aloof most of his life... until he became a genin and actually had to put effort into things. Yoshi then started to take his life a little more seriously and strives to live up to the legendary individuals of Torogakure.
Instead of not remembered or just being a foot note, he wants to show that peace can be achieved and that his clan's traditions can aid in this effort. He was influenced by Tarou Kitsune's nature of being a loving individual. He wants to strive to be something like his role model, if not, prove that dreams of showing brotherly affections towards others is indeed possible.
PERSONALITY
Yoshi loves to meditate and admire his surroundings. He tends to space out and ignore those around him -- more so if people are talking to him. He means no disrespect by it but just loves nature and sees everything about it to be pleasing. He has shown himself to be very clumsy and loves hearing about stories -- especially ghost stories. Yoshi loves meditating in haunted buildings or abandoned places -- believing the spirits there will tell him stories about the place. However people assume he's crazy when and if he talks about this.
He's very loving towards his clan, teammates, and friends. He also enjoys fasting from time to time -- and this is usually when he "talks" to spirits. He actually encourages people to fast because of the clarity it gives him.
Aside from his aloof nature, Yoshi is intelligent. Though it's hard to see through him fasting during specific times of the year, his clumsiness, and just very happy nature. The saying "A skilled hawk hides its talons." really speaks towards his nature. But again, he's more prone to being aloof and stand-offish.
Relationships
Aoki Kichirou [ Father | Mentor | Role Model ]
Yoshi's father, role model, and someone he aspires to add one day best. Kichirō inspired Yoshi to be more like him -- a Shinobi who would want to defend his home. He's intertwined the Aoki's Kekkei Genkai with the Kugustutsukai Brigade. Yoshi admires his father's levity and easygoing nature and tries to take things as easy as his father does. Yoshi has heard all of his father's stories about his adventures outside of the village. When Yoshi enlisted into the Kugustutsukai Brigade, he took whatever advice his father could give him. Yoshi felt an immense amount of pride when he created his first puppet and tried to move onto ones to improve on the previous one he made. When Yoshi has a day off or time to spare, he puts on a puppet show with his father for some kids within the Aoki to enjoy and in the village.
Aoki Sachiko [ Mother ]
Yoshi loves his mother but feels a great disconnection to her. She and Yoshi used to be inseparable when he was a child. Always close by to accompany her in whatever errands she ran that day. As he got older and started to show signs of being a Shinobi like his father, she began to feel distressed. She worried her son wouldn't be like his father -- strong and capable of defending himself. She worries about him whenever he's off on a mission and even more after the Fourth Akarikage's death. She doesn't want her son to become a casualty or to put himself at risk and unable to come home. She knows Yoshi walks his own path and will do great things, it doesn't stop her from worrying about him. She wants the best for her son but isn't sure how to express it. When he designed Yūrei, Sachiko suggested a name for her. Although it isn't a real being, she knows Yūrei will protect Yoshi as best as it can.
Aoki Ryōichi [ Older Brother ]
Yoshi's older brother and someone Yoshi has trouble being himself around. When they were kids, their relationship was simpler and less complicated. After Yoshi showed signs of being a Shinobi, things got complicated. Ryōichi left Tōrōgakure to commune with their mountain counterparts. His last conversation with Yoshi ended on a sour note. Ryōichi believes that the path of the shinobi is one filled with emptiness -- that is it the way to avoid true enlightenment. Yoshi doesn't speak about his brother often nor does he seem to care to acknowledge him. It's not out of disrespect but for a lack of understanding. Yoshi knows that his brother will never understand the weight of the world he has set into his shoulders. The secrets he wields and hides, as well as the strength of his own abilities. Instead, it has propelled him to prove his brother wrong. Enlightenment is a path all people walk and it's different for everyone. He will never truly be able to show his brother what he does, but he will do whatever he can to help show it.
Aoki Tamie [ Maternal Cousin | Best Friend ]
Tamie is one of his best friends and closest relative. He loves spending time with her, just talking about whatever is on his mind. He feels more at ease around her, to be able to speak his mind about his likes, what he wants, and so on. Compared to his relationship with family, there's less stress to do whatever might be expected of him or to stop pursuing his dreams. Regardless of whatever they have to share or talk about, there's a strong bond between them and a judgement free zone to be themselves.
