Childhood

Before School

Hayami wasn't born with her trademark horns, though she was born with the bands on her wrists and ankles, they deformed slightly as she ages to become two instead of one. She also had a band across her neck and a stubby little tail. It was clear she'd have her family's mutant quirk from birth, even without an active quirk showing.

Being a hothead from a young age (even without an active quirk), Hayami was always into things, making messes, and scaring away the cats that wandered by her house. 

Primary School

When she started primary school, all the other kids believed she already had her quirk and somewhat adored her, which didn't help her already elevated ego. When her quirk did show itself, she was able to show off small flames and tiny canine ears.

Middle School

By now, Hayami had a good grip on her quirk, her human form had changed a decent bit, her wrist/ankle bands began to split into two, two small horns and a longer and thinner tail with an arrow pointed end.

She's learnt to switch between her two forms for a short amount of time, she couldn't maintain it for long, when she pushed the time limit she'd lose control of herself. Those around her would have to wait till she wore herself out. Twice, her class had to evacuate so she would wear herself out alone in her classroom.

Arc Events

UA Entrance Exam

Using her brute strength and quirks power, Hayami destroyed her "opponents" and ranked in the top percentage for the villain count, with one of the lowest scores for the rescue count. Her attitude and uncaring control of her quirk put her in 1B, if she had more control of her quirk (or more care), she would have ended up in 1A.

Quirk Apprehension Test

After reading the years itinerary for her grade and class, Hayami decided to not show off all her quirk had to offer. She showed off the same amount as she did at the entrance exam but left a lot out. She planned to use this against 1A and 1B during the Sports Festival. 

What she did show consisted of her regular flames, speed, and general power.

Battle Trial

Hayami isn't the best at cooperating or being a rescue orientated hero, she didn't fully care about her partner and did mostly her own thing.

Hero side: Hayami's ego and pride got the better of her, to put it politely, she was shit as a hero during this event. Forgetting she was meant to capture the 'villain' and engage in combat.

Villain side: She took this as a sign from above to let loose on her wild side. Even her partner (excluding Tetsutetsu, Kuroiro, or Monoma) felt uneasy with just how well Hayami was playing the part.

Unforeseen Simulation Joint (USJ)

U.A. Sports Festival

Obstacle Race: 

 Not having the same amount of brains as everyone else, and always jumping head first into things, she rushed ahead of the mass for the majority of the course. She destroyed one of the entrance exam robots by herself, melting the ice with ease. She ended up running on the ice without her boots. Her natural claws and the tough pads on her feet gripped a lot better to the ice than any shoe; doing this caused a little physical pain, but it was over fast. Using her speed, Hayami managed to jump across one of the first rope bridges. Taking a bit longer (than she'd of liked) to cross the rest. By then, a few had gotten ahead of her, which pissed her off. But, she ended up using this to her advantage to run past the mines that had gone off, she ranked high enough to make the next event.

Cavalry Battle:

Hayami isn't much use in a group situation, she was one of the horse's legs, which she's vexed about this but doesn't argue. She mainly used her flames to keep opponents at a distance and defend. Even using those same flames to throw the other cavalry teams off their guard, off-balance, and off their game.

Battle Tournament:

The hot-headed egotistical Hellhound got cocky, she was defeated in one of the first two brackets. TBA

Vs. Hero Killer/Hero Supervision

It's unclear who Hayami worked with for her work studies.

During this time, Hayami decided to mess around and try dating. She spent a few short months with Reogun Nekketsu, she's very open about the fact she won't be loyal and she's simply messing around, for fun. The two messed around for a bit, didn't last, but had a good time nonetheless.

Final Exams

Her score for the written exam was decently low, but not low enough to have to do remedial studies like her classmate Monoma. 

Forest Training Camp

Quirk training for Hayami consisted of being secluded, shifting into her hellhound form, timing her control, destroying a rock doll, and shifting back. She did this that many times she lost count, and eventually passed out for a few minutes from overworking herself; like most of her classmates. At this point, the longest she can actively use her quirk for in battle is 7 minutes and 30 seconds, she also has a stronger grasp of reality while in her Hellhound form, meaning she doesn't lose control till after 8 minutes of active use.

Overnight, while most of the 1A and 1B girls are having a girls night, Hayami spent some of that time alone in the spings. She hadn't had a chance to be in a natural spring in her Hellhound form before, this was a relaxing time for her that she'd never felt. Most people would get upset and/or scared due to her using her quirk in public. 

The test of courage, due to using her shifting a lot on the past few days, she struggled to use her quirk while in her Hellhound form, she could change but wasn't very powerful. Donning white facepaint in this form, she had a classmate paint a skull on her face, with fake blood dripping from her eyes and mouth. Coming off as a true Hellhound, trying to imitate Fenrir. Luckily, she was far away with some other students when the League of Villains attacked the first years. She used what she had to create a wall of fire to protect herself and her classmates with her. With her classmates helping make a defensive barrier the students received only minor injuries. 

Hideout Raid

Against her own will, Hayami was forced to stay in the hospital for two days for the injuries she sustained and her quirks overuse (also being severely dehydrated). 

Provisional Hero License Exam

At the start, Hayami was all for living in the dorms, as most did she became a touch homesick. After bringing some of her belongings from home to her new dorm, this helped a lot. Her room was decorated with mostly a punk and punk rock theme.

During the second provisional licencing exams event, Hayami got distracted and lost control of her quirk; she didn't pass the exam. This refers back to her Entrance Exam, where she failed the rescue portion of the Exam. Unfortunately, she had to take a step back, reality check, and do the Remedial Course later in the year.

Shie Hassaikai

Since she didn't have a provisional licence Hayami had to do extra lessons and tutoring. After getting a dedicated lecture and a few extra lessons on being able to work with others, she was able to communicate with her classmates a lot easier; she also managed to get closer to a few classmates honestly, spending time with them, cooking, training, and all sorts. 

School Festival

Due to her class creating and presenting a play, Hayami mostly worked backstage to help her classmates which went really well due to her extra lessons. "I actually had a lot of fun..."

Family

*Homura Kayda (Mother) - Quirk: Hellhound

Of all of the people in the world, Hayami’s mother Homura is the one person she outwardly respects the most, admiring her power and accomplishments as a hero, aiming to follow in her footsteps to be like her, citing her as her inspiration after watching the action of Homura since she was a pup. Outside of her admiration for her mother, they seem to have a decent relationship with Homura being stern with her and Kiba but obviously loving both of her kids wanting to see them succeed, and feeling the pride to see she made an impression on Hayami despite knowing of her daughter’s uninviting personality, hoping she’ll grow out of it as she gets older.

*Kiba Kayda (Brother)- Quirk: Hellhound

Hayami has an odd relationship with her brother Kiba. While Kiba definitely cares about his sister feeling closest to her in their family, Hayami has a tendency to be rather bratty to her brother, brushing off his brotherly concerns and trying to portray herself as someone who can take care of herself in the most haughty way imaginable to dispel her brother’s concerns which unfortunately for her make him even more concerned...

UA Classmates

*Tsubaki Ishihara

Hayami doesn’t interact with her upperclassmen much, only knowing Tsubaki on a base level due to her relationship with Kinoko, and due to that relationship, she often sees that Tsubaki despite also being in the hero course doesn’t really have a ‘fighter’s personality’ with how chronically happy and energetic she is on top of her quirk being more suitable for support rather than actual combat. As such, Hayami has a rather low opinion of Tsubaki, feeling she doesn’t deserve to be in the hero course, especially after events like the summer camp and war when she’s more emotional following such events.

*Katsuki Bakugo

The relationship between Hayami and Bakugo is an odd one to say the least, Hayami actually likes Bakugo’s fiery personality and won’t turn down a challenge to fight with him should it come up but, at the same time, Hayami standing her ground to him being one of a handful of students who readily shows she’s not afraid of him and won’t cower down to him during his outburst stemming form strong dislike for him as a result of his ego often clashing with her. Such resentment is obvious enough that 1A and 1B, Aizawa and Vlad make a mental note to ALWAYS keep them separated knowing something is going to break off if they’re together in the same place. As such, Hayami is typically seen antagonizing Bakugo, egging him on wanting him to get mad enough to want to fight. Though their peers are generally in agreement that the tumultuous rivalry Bakugo and Hayami have is result of their similar personalities resulting in their egos clashing especially with Hayami being as socially inept as she is and Bakugo’s generally unpleasant personality which leads to natural disasters waiting to happen with the two of them.

*Neito Monoma

Hayami has a particular distaste for her classmate Neito Monoma. While Hayami doesn’t per se care about the 1A vs. 1B rivalry, she ironically doesn’t like Monoma’s over-the-top obsession with 1A leading to his smug nature about their class being ‘objectively’ better than 1A. However in reality, Hayami is aware Monoma’s obsession with 1A comes from his own desire to be in the spotlight and is angry and jealous of 1A getting more attention than their class gets. This leads to a sort of rivalry between the two with Hayami ready to One-Up Monoma and take the spotlight off of him should he ever get it just to make him mad and typically delights in it. Hayami particularly delights when he takes his 1A antagonism too far, knowing it won’t be long until Kendo smacks him in the head to get him to stop. Should Monoma go into his Anti-1A tangents and Kendo isn’t around, Hayami is generally the first person to volunteer to dish out punishment for him, albeit with more force than Kendo uses.

*Itsuka Kendo

Hayami has shown a fondness for her class rep, liking the fiery side of Itsuka has when keeping the rest of their class in line, finding it particularly satisfying to see her smack Neito Monoma upside the head when he’s on his Anti 1-A tangents despite also being the ‘good girl’ who keeps the class together when has to. Though shockingly, despite the respect Hayami has for Itsuka, she’s actually partially scared of her. Seeing how often she’ll smack Monoma without hesitation, Hayami does fear incurring Itsuka’s wrath upon herself, though she won’t admit it.

Relationships

*Hamari Tanaka

After Hayami decided to try dating, Hamari was her first relationship, showing an interest in her not long after meeting. Though that interest is more curiosity on Hamari as a person, feeling that she has something that she herself lacks but doesn’t quite know what it was exactly. With that curiosity, Hayami tried multiple times to get Hamari to go out on a date with her and repeatedly got rejected until she finally said ‘yes’ to get Hayami to stop asking. After beginning their relationship it was… a semi-pleasant experience with Hayami being incredibly forward with Hamari but not much came from it due to Hamari’s reserved nature and general discomfort and visibly not being happy in the relationship, something Hayami herself did take note of.
Though from their ‘relationship’ the two girls see that they’re fairly similar with their social ineptitude albeit with the key difference being Hayami’s is a result of her brash personality that tends to alienate others and drive them away while Hamari’s was general shyness yet still had a good natured personality that made their peers gravitate toward her, a difference that Hamari would notice with Hayami being oblivious to it but subconsciously be aware that it’s the thing Hamari has that she doesn’t.

With this major difference and their time together allowing Hamari to piece together that as hotheaded as Hayami may be, she’s ultimately not a bad person on purpose but literally knows no better and could change with a bit of help, leading to her getting Hayami therapy to understand herself better and maybe others as well. Though not long after would come their break up came not long after with both being fine with it since neither really liked the other in a romantic sense with Hayami mainly being curious about Hamari and not really liking her ‘too polite with no bite’ personality and Hamari having more romantic interest in Mezo Shouji and was free to act on that. Though despite the break up and Hayami’s treatment, the two were able to become genuine friends due to Hayami’s understanding of people growing.

*Reogun Nekketsu

Another one of Hayami’s peers that she engages in a stint of romance with with both being well aware there’s no commitment and that it’s just ‘fun’ they’re having over the course of 1 or 2 months. During which time Hayami thought ‘it wasn’t a bad time’ but eventually got bored with their friends with benefits relationship and ended things, not that Reogun cared since he was starting to develop interest in Pony Tsunatori.

*Kia Sjuttonde

Kia is one of few people that earnestly considers Hayami a friend and vice versa with the two girls showing a strong friendship by standards that involve Hayami with Hayami adoring the free-spirit Kia is with the spice and flirtatious energy she shows and Kia liking Hayami’s fiery and dominating personality. Initially starting as friends who like how similar they are, their friendship taking a more romantic turn following their break-ups with Hamari Tanaka and Ao Mitsudo respectively with Kia being aware that Hayami isn’t someone to commit to a relationship and just wants ‘fun’ which was something both were okay with as they engaged in a friends with benefits esque relationship, seeing each other as just that.
Over the following few months as Hayami begins to go to therapy for her social ineptitude, their relationship begins to improve with Hayami’s disposition with both girls adoring public displays of affection with the other and showing off constantly with Hayami loving that Kia can ‘keep up’ with her and remains a ride-or-die for her and Kia loving that Hayami can take charge in their ‘relationship’ on top of her messing with her in own ways like leaving bite marks or scratches on her with their relationship somewhat evolving from friends with benefits to something along the lines of a situationship where Kia is willing to call Hayami ‘her girlfriend’ and Hayami actually being willing to do the same even if they’re not in a full on romantic relationship.

Though knowing their relationship isn’t wholly romantic, both are fine with ‘ending things’ and seeing other people with a rare showing from Hayami offering Kia to re-engage their intimate relationship or just talk about things should she ever be stressed from a bad day and need to let off some steam, and offer that surprised her but she nonetheless appreciate and assured she’d remember with Hayami telling Kia ‘she’s her favorite’ without elaboration on what that meant.The offer would be taken up more than once with Hayami and Kia having an open on and off relationship where the two are always willing to go back to each other to be intimate. Though Kia’s feelings for Hayami become genuinely romantic and she begins to want a more monogamous relationship with Hayami but knows she isn’t the type to commit and doesn’t want Hayami to give up that part of herself. Hayami’s whole feelings toward Kia remain unknown.
