Ethan Whitlock (Pokemon Team)

Jasper has been by Ethan's side for 11 years and is his best friend. Jasper has the mindset of a child. It doesn't take much to impress him as his naive nature makes him oblivious to certain concepts. This often lead to the male occasionally zoning out of 'boring conversations'. Jasper always approaches situations with a carefree attitude. His fearlessness is something that is often cited in the team and one of the things they admire. However, his serious side comes out when battling, and the safety of those he calls his family is involved. When it comes to battling, that carefree does slip depending on the nature of the battle. All it takes is a strong Pokemona as they often excite him. Regardless, even if things go wrong, he always sees the bright side of things and rarely down when things don't go his way.

When it comes to keeping things organized, Pearl is the one that helps Ethan remain sane with his duties as a champion. A perfectionist in all forms, Pearl is one of the only members of Ethan's team that master the art of speaking English. Pearl get easily flustered when confronted by the unknown or when her plans fail. Whenever that happens, she is immediately comforted by Ethan or her mate (Sapphire). Pearl is polite and kind to others. She is rarely the type to snap at others as she doesn't want anyone to feel nervous around her. She can be a bit protective of Ethan and views the male as a child to her despite being technically younger than him. Perhaps it has something to do with her knowledge of him not having a motherly figure in his life and her desire to ty to fill in that space for him.

Long ago, Jet used to be a Heracross belonging to a young trainer. However, the male would end up sacrificing his life to protect the human from a rampaging Magmortar. Buried within the Lost Tower, the Pokemon would come back to life as a Duskull and eventually join Ethan's team. Jet is a stoic, serious Dusknoir that is rarely fazed by most things. He often bumps heads with Jasper as he carries a strong dislike for fire types. His hatred for fire types is strong to the point he will snap at the sight of them. When it comes to his relationship with Ethan, there are times where he doesn't listen to him and can be inconsiderate towards him. That's his attempt to try to push him away from him so he doesn't get too close. It's not working in the slightest.

If you told Ethan years ago that a 3'7 weasel was going to act like his older sister, Ethan wouldn't believe. Yet, here we are. Sapphire is a level-headed and calm Floatzel that acts as the secondary leader of the team. When she's around her team, she's upbeat and eager to do whatever she can to ensure they are being taken care of. It's something that she shares with her mate (Pearl). Oddly enough, she's one of the few Pokemon that can calm Jet down whenever he sees a fire type. She is a family orientated Pokemon and is the type to babble about kids and smaller Pokemon when she sees them. Despite her ability to remain calm and collected, she can be intimidating and forceful when she wishes. This can mostly be seen whenever you do anything that harms her friends/family.

When you meet Peridot, you'll be quick to realize how different he is, compared to the other members of the team. Ofen outspoken, Peridot is a flamboyant, over-the-top guy with a fascination with beauty and roses. He enjoys sticking his nose into other people's business as he feels that's obligated to know about it. This stems from the fact he comes from a royal family (at least that's what he claims), and royalty should know everything. He is very fond of using double-entendres and clever wordplay to describe how he feels. Unlike a good chunk of the team, Peridot is sophisticated and well-mannered when dealing with other individuals. When he's with his team, however, he can be a bit dramatic and sarcastic. Granted, he's always dramatic if you have known him for a while.

Ethan never thought that he would ever have the Larvitar line in his party. He always believed the Pokemon to a rare Pokemon to encounter. However, when he overheard the news of an outbreak occurring with them, Ethan used that opportunity to hunt for one. To his relief, he succeeded. Emerald is a kindhearted, gentle giant that rarely lashes out at others. Of course, this does change when she mega evolves. When she mega evolves, the overwhelming power that fills her turns her into a monster. Unlike those of her kind, she is rarely rude or disrespectful in any way. She has little tolerance for those who are mean for the sake of being mean and is quick to call out anyone who does. She is rarely cocky and never the one that likes to gloat about her strength.
