| appearance | A 6'8 rusty sea dweller, with some hella curly hair. We're talking curls curling into curls, that are curling over curls here. Short and bouncy, he seems to take really good care of his hair for someone who lives so far out. He has fairly long pointed ears, with what appear to be fins around the bottom edges. Both ears are torn up and scarred, and he also has a few scars stretching across his right jaw to the bridge of his nose. His ears are riddled with golden jewelery. Abdiel also wears makeup, grey and black eyeshadow patted on very delicately. He has four deep red gills on his neck, some of which are torn and scarred as well. He wears various turtle necks or scarves to cover up his neck, and his hands are covered in rings and golden deco. He wears stretchy blue jeans, with deep red sneakers that are a little flimsy looking. |
| personality | Abdiel is usually a stuttery nervous wreck, but when he's alone or with his two closest friends he is the calmest fish in the sea. That's also on land. He is very soft spoken, speaking in soft whispers and his stutter is almost unnoticeable. He doesn't care about the hemospectrum or royalty junk, and frankly doesn't care where he's placed on it either. He cares a lot about his friends and tries his best to be as realistic as he can when it comes to helping them, or guiding them into the directions he thinks they should be going. Abdiel is also very ashamed and slightly afraid of his sea dweller traits and attempts to hide them at all times. Whenever he's questioned about having finned ears as a rust blood he says its "(,,,just a g-genetic m,,mutation,,)" and that it isn't worth being culled over appearance based traits. Really though, he's more afraid of how he might not be as nice as he is now forever and that the sea dweller aggression is somewhere deep inside, just waiting to jump out at the people he cares about the most. This is one reason he chooses to be so secluded, aside from the fact he doesn't want to draw attention to himself as a mutant. |
| backstory | Born as what looked like a sea dweller grub with blood that's ran too red, Abdiel didn't par too well in the brooding caverns. He gained most, if not all of his scars from fighting (or, more accurately, being fought) in the caverns. He isn't really too sure how he managed to survive for so long, or how he managed to get out and he doesn't plan on digging deep to find out anytime soon either.
CHILDHOOD As a kid he was scared out of his mind, forced to be feral and wild just to survive. He stole food, items to resell back later, and even broke into a few hives just at the age of 4 sweeps. Some people, who saw him as the Royal Sea Dweller, left him alone and completely abandoned. They assumed he was just one of HIC's royal brats throwing a fit, and eventually he would go back to being the queens guard dog. Others, who saw him as a helpless child lost without a lusus would try to bring him in to rear him themselves. It would always end in tragedity for them, coming home to a hive completely ruined or picked clean of small valuables and food. Unnecessary destruction brought onto trolls who tried to help him. Meifra, or Mei as you like to call her, are like two peas in a pod. Always trolling each other at random hours of the day or night, joking and laughing. They met each other through Erviah, you wanted some new friends that you could be yourself around and Erviah couldn't've done better. You two immediately clicked with each other, and have been friends ever since. Some might say you even feel a little pale for her but you know you'd never have the guts to ask her to be your moirail. She already has a (horrible, cough) moirail, named Lurzai Zhodix and you wouldn't want to try and hurt her feelings by getting between the two. You're also unfortunately aware of her flushing feelings towards him, maybe thats a part of why you can't stand him. You do partake in being their auspistice on occassion, though you're nothing official. She thoroughly enjoys watching you garden, and you enjoy her being a thoughtful listener of your Woes. Erviah Laycie Erviah, your closest companion and best friend. You two met in your teens, and have been friends ever since. Erviah is like a shadow, where ever you go they're sure to follow you. You practically live together honestly, they come over and stay over for sweeps at a time and you share the respite block together too; even though there's a spare. You spend a lot of your time quietly doing your own things just in the company of each other, it's so.. peaceful. You really feel like Erviah truly understands you, even when you don't. Erviah likes to help you with sorting out your collections of trinkets, bits & bobs, and you like to share your reading material with them. Lurzai Zhodix "GET A LOAD OF THIS GUY" Absolutely abhorrent. Distasteful, incomplete, utter waste of space. Abdiel doesn't have it in him to be blatantly nasty to someone, and it takes a whole lot for him to actively think negatively about you rather than just pretend you don't exist but this one? this one is the exception. To have someone, as wonderful and well put together as Meifra to be your moirail, for her to want to even be flushed towards you and yet. Yet you treat her like this? Despicable, really. Abdiel wants to shake the rocks out of Lurzai's head, just for Meifras sake. He wants to help him but Gog, if he isn't the worst to be around, always. How can someone so small be so intimidating? So infuriating? This is the pitchest, yet most platonic form of hatred this planet will ever experience. Ideally, Abi would just sit Lurzai down at the Therapists Chair, and talk him to death about his problems and how he could fix them and stop ruining not only his, but others lives. In reality all he can do is sit quietly and watch it all fall apart; hoping he can help Meifra get away and get over him. He doesn't know what she see's in him and hope she recovers from it. He feels like sometimes it's specifically him Lurzai has an issue with, but it's not like either of them are around many people to be able to tell for sure. It's obvious to him that Lurzai takes his mutated ranking offensively, unsure of his place in regards to him so he sets himself up as high above Abi as he can. Adonis Argana Not much of an opinion on the guy, seems nice enough. Strange that he seems to not feel any effects of Lurzais.. "Aura" and actively seeks him out, what feels like on purpose. Not sure why, not interested enough to find out. |
