Growing up in a rough neighborhood as the only child of a single mother, Maeve didn't grow up with much in the way of luxuries. Her mother wasn't home very often due to working to provide a life for the two of them, and she was often alone as a result. As a young kid, she found a hero in a police officer who would come into her neighborhood every week to spend time and give things to the families in need, like food and toys for the children. After seeing the good this woman did for her community, Maeve was determined to become just like her when she got older, to help and protect other families like her and her mom.

Working extremely hard in school and saving every penny she could from working part time jobs, Maeve managed to earn enough scholarship and savings to attend college for her bachelor's degree and take a step towards her goals. What she didn't expect, however, was meeting an up and coming fashion design major at the college she attend that she would fall for. Over the years, after they both graduated and both had made it into their respective fields, Maeve and Sen got engaged.

While she adores her job, the risks are definitely always in her mind, especially after a call gone wrong that landed Maeve in critical condition at the hospital from a gunshot wound. Even still, she'll do all that she can to help others, especially with the new threat of a vigilante making his appearance in the town.

Maeve, while a model calm and cool officer on the clock, is an extremely excitable and goofy person in her personal time. She loves to make people smile, and will often do what she can to brighten someone's day. She has a huge soft spot for children especially and often takes time out of her schedule to volunteer with children who need the extra attention and role models. Once she has set her mind to something, it is near impossible to shake her from her goal; hence why she's so insistent to continue with her career as an officer despite her near death experience. She's brash and always ready to go. She isn't shy about showing her affection for people either, and tends to be somewhat fussy over those she cares about, making sure they're taking care of themselves or taken care of before anything else.

- Is engaged to Sen. She has absolutely no idea about his criminal past, or the fact that he's the vigilante that she's supposed to track down.

- Has two divets on her right shoulder, one on her chest and one of her back. This is a scar from when she got shot, and she's pretty self-conscious about it and how it looks.

- Her getting shot on the job is the reason she has such a phobia of hospitals and doctors.

- She's pretty frugal as a result of her upbringing.
