History

Saret was separated from his brother early on as Eevees, all because of some "divine intervention". He used to believe it.

Now, as acting holy Ambassador to [redacted], located on the outskirts of Sahra Town near [redacted], he does his best to present himself as [redacted]’s daughter and heir and what everyone would preach back home as the goddess incarnate. 

Originally sent out by [redacted] to spread the Holy Word of [redacted] to convince others that Saret’s home was blessed and that they would all be saved from some kind of disaster if they formed an alliance with them. It didn’t take very long for him to connect the dots--his home was dying. The crops weren’t growing anymore and it hadn’t rained in weeks--months? He wasn’t sure anymore. His foster parents had devised a desperate plan. One that involved grooming their child to corral other’s to help them live. To trade or otherwise. Saret didn’t want to be used, so; being unaccompanied on his ‘holy journey’, he just decided to stop. It’s not like his folks back home loved him--they loved the Goddess, which he was not.

Whenever he thinks of his home, he tries to imagine that they’re not so stupid as to not venture out themselves to find the ocean; which was not terribly far away. But for the most part he just tries not to think about it, despite everyone he meets asking about his origins. 

Due to the way his was brought up, he finds it hard to express himself. He cannot tell someone he is uncomfortable with them, he cannot tell them he is angry or does not want to talk about (this) topic, and if he does say something along the lines of “Alright, I’m done with you.” he says so with a smile, and no explanation. 

And now that he’s given up on his original mission, he doesn’t know what to do with his newfound freedom besides search for his real family, the only one he remembers beyond what his foster parents insisted was true. He doesn’t have to worry about excuses for his family and he definitely won’t worry about going back since he’s out now. With everything around him now, he gets to experience parts of the world that are alive, that are what he would think are ‘happy’. He just doesn’t know where to start--so he keeps up the facade of Holy Ambassador, with differentiating disasters and locations to each of his stories. No, he won’t give up his home’s location anymore--no name, no nothing. 

In fact, now that he does have as much freedom as he does, he doesn’t see any issue in feeding other’s the lie that was bore in to him his whole life. Why not tell people he’s housing a Goddess in his mortal body? It hasn’t proven to have any consequences yet.
